Thank you so much for taking new pictures of the graves there. So much better than what we had before. Very much appreciated.
|genieresearcher||more on Pate|
You probably saw Jubal and Martha's daughter Martha Virginia 'Jennie' Pate Woodard memorial I have burial location unknown. I have suspicion she may also be in Pine Hill if she is with her Pate family. I transferred her memorial to Frank Draper who descends from her husband Thomas Luther Draper. We were searching for her burial location and wonder if you might have come across her on any lists. Thanks very much.

Hello Fay,I moved the Pates to Pine Hill but I imagine they are within a Pate family section there since seems to be discrepancy. Now that moved, probably not necessary for your note with flowers that they are in Pine Hill. Is that Jackson County cemetery inscriptions list posted on line anywhere? I'd just like to see it to verify and make note on their memorials. Thanks for letting me know.

Memorial# 44824177, Just came across his DC on https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:NS3C-VJC and it list his burial location as Kemp Cemetery, in Smith CO.
Looks like there are 4-5 Kemp cemeteries in Smith Co. though.

Recently, you sent me photographs for about a dozen tombstone / gravestone memorials. Thank you, again, very much. - Will Stamps

Thanks again for the tombstone pictures for Shirlee S Harris, William, Ana, Ben, Charlie and Bobby Jones.
I have a bunch of "unknowns" for the Jackson County area - lots of obits and can't find in the usual cemeteries. I will start adding memorials; hopefully, next week. Could I send them directly to you or should I go through the usual request process ?? Thanks!!! Will Stamps

Thanks for locating Maggie's tombstone and supplying the pictures. I really like the long and close shot - especially the closeup that makes the details extremely clear.
Would you also supply the pictures for her husband's Find A Grave Memorial# 152519272
which I just setup based on the information garnered in your photos. I did some additional lookups and found some information on George. Looks like Maggie was George's 2nd wife.

Fay, you have been quite busy. I appreciate the work you have done for all the requests that I have made. I have come across more "blanks" for Jackson County than the rest of Tennessee. Not sure why.... This includes Lola, Cavit, Martha and Johnny Hawkins.
A few years ago, my cousin and friend, Delbert Jones of Algood, TN, gave me thousands of obituaries he had clipped out and asked me to do something with his collection after he died. I have gone on to create Find A Grave memorials when none existed and added basic genealogical info when needed, mostly birth and death locations. Unfortunately, Find A Grave doesn't like the posting of obituaries which offers much in the way of genealogical information. So....you will probably see a few more requests from me in the following months. Thanks again for your efforts. - Will Stamps for both myself and Delbert Jones
