|David from VA||RE: Thank You|
Hi,Lois: Thanks very much for your response. You are correct. Robert Albert was my great grandfather. Our children had asked me to make notes about our family tree so I started the project a few days ago. I had a handful of funeral cards my father had stuffed in a prayer book and started from there. Doing a search for some of the names led me to your listing. I then called my aunt Jane, who is the only surviving member of that WWII generation, and we talked for over an hour while she filled in a lot of gaps. The story I had always heard was that Robert Albert had come over from Switzerland when he was about twenty-five. I was able to find an immigration entry for a Robert of that age who came to New York on March 8, 1886.
Robert and Katie had passed a few years prior to my birth. They lived in the house next to my grandparents on Seneca Street. I have pictures that I will be glad to scan and send to you but do not know how to bypass this public forum. Am I correct in assuming Katie may have been a great-aunt?
From your listing I was glad to learn of their parents, John Arn and Marie Fisher Arn. They were unknown to us. I would like to find out more information about them but I think that may be difficult by the way the census was carried out in Switzerland at that time.
|David from VA||Thank You|
Lois: The work you have done here has greatly helped me and I can't thank you enough. I am related to Katie Rosche through my father. FInding this information led me to other sources and ultimately a long phone call to one of the few remaining people with first hand stories of Seneca Street. Pictures are forthcoming. This would not have happened without your work.

The message in the quotation marks is the entire death notice. Sorry, I should have said.
|Henry Cemetery Assoc. Interments||Culby Death Notice|
I found this while looking for another's death notice.
"An 18 month old child of Henry Culby residing on South Cherry street, died last night."
The Evening Repository [Canton, Stark, OH] Monday 1881 Feb 21 page 4 column 1.

Thank you for pointing out the correction to Cora Ellen Swingle Culbertson's spouse. I've made the correction as requested.

I apologize but I did not see your previous answer to my message. It appears to me that all your other info is correct...at least it agrees with what I have . I'm glad you enjoy the photos I have posted on Ancestry. I feel very blessed to have them in my possession. If you wish to contact me, please use my email address as I am not often on Find A Grave:

Even though the grave memorial states 'Colby' the death certificates for Henry and Mary have the last name of 'Culby'. This is how I knew the Henry Colby memorial was your posting. I did notice that the grave memorial for their daughters have the spelling Culbey.
I am glad to have found this out as I work hard to insure that the postings are as correct as possible. A lot of folks use Find-A-Grave as a free genealogy site.
|John Sutherland||Re: Williams Photos|
Glad to be of help. I also photographed and uploaded a gravestone photo for William R Williams, Jr. I realize that may not be of immediate help, but that is the fourth of the four burial spaces in that particular lot. As an FYI, there are 288 Williams burials in Boulder County, 109 of which are buried in Mountain View Cemetery in Longmont.
|Melva Hofmann||Isabelle Brown Pollock|
I do not believe that this Isabelle Gilcrist Brown is the same as the Isabelle Brown who married James Pollock and is buried in West Lawn. My Great grandmother Isabelle Brown Pollock was born 9 Oct 1859 and I know my records are correct as I have her birth and death certificates. I also found an Isabelle Gilcrist Brown in Scotland's old parish records but she is NOT my g-grandmother. I would like to communicate with you in this regard.
Thank you for the good work you do.
