Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hello: My name is Bill Kazupski and I am a resident of the City of Chicago. I live on the far south side of Chicago, blocks from a few of the south and southwest Chicago suburbs.

I come from a family of Chicago police officers. My father spent over 30 years with the force and both my brothers and I are Chicago police officers. I am a homicide detective and have been with the Chicago police department for over 28 years. My mother is a nurse and my one sister works for Loyola Hospital.

I enjoy being a volunteer with Find-A-Grave because it allows me to get my walking exercise in while helping others. Kind of killing two birds with one stone as they say.

The following cemeteries are within walking distance from my residence:

St. Mary's
Mount Greenwood
Mount Olivet
Mount Hope
Saint Casimir
Chapel Hill Gardens (South)
Holy Sepulchre Cemetery
Evergreen Cemetery
First Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery

Burr Oaks - Due to this cemetery digging up burial plots and dumping the coffins and bodies, this cemetery is the focus of national media and news outlets. It is a historical black cemetery operated by African Americans. It is currently shut down to the public as the criminal investigation is in progress. (Update: This cemetery has re-opened under new management)

Feel free to e-mail with any requests for these cemeteries.

Good Luck To All!

Bill Kazupski

Dear Bill,
You did a photo for me of the Walsh headstone at Holy Sepulchre. He was an uncle and I have discovered I have an aunt there as well, Catherine Walsh Mauck, next to him. I'm wondering if it might be a family plot. I'm sure her husband Raymond would be on the other side of her but am also looking for her sister, Mary A. Walsh Samples. At any rate a photo of the plot area would be great as well as any headstones in it.
Thanking you in advance for any help you can give me on this project.

I wonder if you would allow me to use the photograph you added to my memorial for Helen Engelbreit,Find A Grave Memorial# 50763100. It was very thoughtful of you adding the information about other burials on that site. I had known about John but was not sure of the others. Thanks.

Thank you so much for this graveside picture. As my grandfather had changed the spelling of his last name it was difficult to run him to ground. This picture helps to make a human connection I did not have before. Many, many thanks.
