Truman Harding was a son of Lebeus/Lebbus Lathrop Harding. After his mother died, Truman was supposedly raised by his Grandfather, Solomon E. Harding.
In the book, "Hardings in America", by Wilbur Judd Harding - published 1925, Truman Harding is mentioned on pg. 138: "Truman G. Harding born Sept 12, 1849." On pg.95 we find the following mention: "Lathrop's wife died, leaving children. Uncle Salmon [Solomon] took the boy Truman and raised him to manhood."
Lebbus Lathrop Harding 1st married Elmira Reed and 2nd on 4 Aug 1845 in Richland Co., OH, to Caroline Stearnes/Sterns. It is evidently from this 2nd marriage that Truman Harding was born.
Lebbus Lathrop Harding was a son of Solomon E. Harding & a grandson of Amos & Phoebe Tripp Harding.
Thank you for your work with the cemeteries.

Hi, I am wondering what your note in the bio section listing “son moved to MI” means, any records I have found indicate his children died local so I am wondering if you have any additional information. Are you related to the Raselys as I notice you have a few memorials for them and I have been researching them too?

Thanks. It's very rewarding. Didn't know he had committed suicide. That make at least 5 in the regiment who did. I've written an article about PDST in the Civil War. And it's amazing more didn't commit suicide. I can send you a copy of our e-zine if you like with the article in it. Just need your E address. The article will come out in our April issue which will be sent out Mar 15.

Do you know anymore about where she's buried. Her first husband's marker has a blank spot for her name.

I found a PDF for Columbia Center Cemetery and am adding those not in findagrave. I have added Walter S. Bracy, on the list is Sarah Bracy and it says wife of Walter. Thought you might like to know. Carole

Thank you so much for the transcription. Would it be possible for you to scan and email the copies you have or snail mail them to me. We have to have copies of the originals for the DAR application. My email is pathallhudson@msn.com.
