I am retired and caregiver for my significant other with Parkinson's. I love to read, quilt, work on genealogy and visit lighthouses. We have two dogs and fostered dogs for several years. Nothing is more rewarding than giving an animal another chance at a good life.

We've applyed for another insurance but it takes 45 days to process then have to see if our sons family doctor will take us as patients cause our doctor wont take the new insurance. Im ahead with my asthma and thyroid meds so im ok til the new insurance kicks in probably in 1-2 months.
My mom always says your only as young as you feel. In my case recently im 49 and feel 89. haha. I am starting to feel back to normal except for my asthma acting up from the heat and everything growing and blooming. I love summers warm weather better then the cold. Snows pretty but thats bout it. lol.

Hi Judy, Thank you. I got back from the doc a while ago from getting the staples out. He said everything looks good and wants to recheck me in 2 weeks. I told him my insurance expires the end of June and need to find new insurance. He said dont worry he likes to make sure his patients are ok after surgery and get better. He said come back anyway at no charge. I was surprised. A doc who cares bout his patients more then money. Thank the good Lord for that.

Hi Judy, The surgery went well yesterday and it must have been a bigger hernia then they thought because he had to make a 4-5 inch opening from in my belly button down and closed it with 12 staples. But it got fixed. Im soppose to get the staples out sometime next week. I still need to make the appt. Im feeling bit better this evening as long as i lay or sit still. To get up or walk hurts. Im hanging in there. : )
