John Coleman
Peadar Doyle and Coleman Family
Hi Janet

I am currently in Dublin with my Irish cousin Thomas Joseph Noel Coleman and we are searching for some Coleman burial information. Using your information we found Peadar Doyle and his wife Kathleen Patricia Coleman. We marched through Eskar and Bluebell but did not find John Joseph Coleman and wife Cathleen Bolger. Would you have any help along these lines? We will be here until the 15th of Sept continuing our research. We plan to visit Kilkenny and other sites where the family came from.

We are also finding McGibney and Kane as associated lines. Any help would be thankful. Should you like to meet a pair of Coleman's men (Noel now lives in England and I John live in Mobile, Alabama, USA. We would like to exchange information perhaps over lunch or dinner.

Thank you in advance.

Respectfully,

John Charles Coleman Jr.

RE: John Joseph Coleman
Hi Janet

Kathleen Coleman Doyle was my Great Grandfathers sister, Patrick Joseph Coleman was (born 1869 died 1907)their father was John Joseph Coleman (born 1839 died abt 1912) who also had a son named Thomas William Coleman (born 1877 died 1947). Your husbands Aunt Kathleen is probably the daughter of Thomas William Coleman who also had a son named Thomas Noel Coleman whom I hope to meet while in Dublin.

Does that sound right to you?

Hi Janet

Thank you for posting my 2nd Great Grandfather. I hope to visit Dublin this year and want to visit the graves of the Coleman's and Doyle's. I used to talk on the phone with Pearse Doyle about his mother Kathleen Coleman Doyle.

Dear Janet,

nice to read the feedback of taking the picture of your uncle Matthew Mahon.

Here you can "virtual visit" the reichswald war cemetery online:

RE: Hugh Myddleton
Beth Bland Engel deals extensively with Hugh Middleton in her book The Middleton Family (published in 1972). According to her Hugh was married to Elizabeth Olmstead, the daughter and sole heiress of Sir John Olmstead of Essex. Also, since Sir Hugh was quite wealthy and famous in his day, so there is a considerable amount of information about him on the internet.

I have a scan of Mrs Engel's book at my office. If you will provide me with an email address I will clip out the pages dealing with Hugh and send them to you.

I hope this helps.
