|Found this site a few years ago looking for markers of famous people and historical figures. Looked for ancestors in the non-famous section, and started adding pictures and memorials. I keep my family under a seperate, anonymous bio for privacy reasons. |
I almost never move, let alone remove, flowers or other items people have placed on/near markers, just out of respect for whoever placed them and whatever relationship they may have had with the person in the grave. Occasionally, I will move a temporary item to get a better shot at the info, but I replace it. If you're looking at one of my memorials/photos and you have a correction or addition, please send it along. Sometimes I'm a bit slow getting to them, but I do get to them. As far as transfers go, please keep the requests to family or very close friends, otherwise, just ask. The only things I ask in return are that any photos I've posted remain, and that any information I've posted remain unless corrected/supplemented.
Every one of these markers represents a life that has, to someone, somewhere, a story. If posting these helps someone remember or tell the story better, it's been worth it.

|Susan C Miller||Virginia Heussner|
Virginia Heussner, who died when she was 8 years old, is my second cousin. Can I use your gravestone photograph on my Ancestry.com website with acknowledgements? Thanks.
Thank you so much for the transfers of Jeff and Rod Brown. I can now link them to their father and grandparents. This means a lot to me. Thank you again.

RE: Find A Grave Memorial# 38558598
Thank you for the note about the two cemeteries. It's quite possible that Eli was born in the cemetery you mentioned although I would think he was buried next to his wife.
However, I did include your note on his page so that others can see it.
I appreciate the heads-up!

Good evening Archivemaster;
thanks for the reply.I noticed that you are researching/working on Sanilac county Mi.I just entered Fox Cemetary south of Marlette,1/4 mile off Brooks Road.Started in 1863, it is closed now for new burials .I thought it may have been an Amish cemetary when I first spotted it.
Start with Abel Fredricke f.a.g.#96676767.
Mayhaps you will find some ancestors there!!!!
Happy hunting...kinda like National Treasure part three!!!!
You are truly close by me
I bid you a good evening

Thank you for responding. From a distant family member through ancestry.com he provided me with pictures of James II & Janet's headstones in the Greenwood Cemetery, Sanduscky, MI. Errol Anton & Ellen (Anton)her married name perhapes Stroham; could be near by. I posted those photos on F.A.C. you might see a landmark to begin a search. I do appreiciate your time.
Vickie from Spokane, WA
p.s. any other Anton's would be helpful also
|Vickie Schmitt||RE: Anton|
Thank you, I appreciate it. The reason I selected you was because of your research history. James & Janet stones are low but older deeper ones; one third of an upright. Ellen (Anton) Stroham & Errol Anton and any others you might find. Also, is there a secton who handles the cemetery? Or is it city owned. Anyway, thank you again for your time.
I just received photos and another confirmation that the Anton's are buried there, I received James & Janet headstone pic. through a resent discoverd family member. I was curious so I went through all the cemeteries listed in Sanilac Co., MI & no Antons. I have searced for a phone number to Greenwood Cemetery but was unabel to locate on. I selected you because you had an interesting bio. and experience. Anyway I was hoping to find them. Thank you for your time.
