Thanks to my Cousin, Ann, for introducing me to Find A Grave. |
I enjoy researching and learning about my ancestors, family and friends. I live in West Columbia, South Carolina. I was born in Newport, Rhode Island. I was adopted when I was 18 months old and was blessed with the greatest parents of all, Anna Dutton and Henry Workman Sweat! My father died when I was 9 (January 1, 1968), and my mother remarried 18 months later. My stepfather, Gary Hilton Koon, went to be with the Lord on August 14, 1976. His favorite phrase was "WELL GLORY". My mother, Anna Dutton Sweat Koon, went home on October 14, 2008 and I miss her dearly.
I am a member of Wayside Baptist Tabernacle in Pelion, S.C.
The most important thing I can tell you about myself is that I am a Christian, saved by the grace of God through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, and I love Him with all my heart and soul! He proved His love for me, and for the WHOLE WORLD, when He GAVE His life on Calvary's cross. He loved us so much that He left the riches of Heaven to come to earth to die on the cross. He gave His life as an atonement for the sins of the whole world! What a great sacrifice! What a precious gift! What a wonderful Savior! THAT'S TRUE LOVE!
HOBBIES: Music, crocheting and gardening. I have 11 dogs and 3 cats.
I am researching and maintaining records for my adoptive family: Sweat/Dutton/Burton/Boggs.
I am also researching and maintaing records of my birth family: Rasnick/Manders/Finney/Neronha. The oldest known ancester for the Rasnick family is AndreasB Rierschneckh, born 1612 in Austria, died 1682 in Germany.
I would appreciate any additional information anyone has that they can pass along.

I,ve always believed that he was too old to be in the cival war and I believe I have found proof that he was not and that he is buried along side Eliza in Pleasant Grove UMCemetery in Chester Co., SC. He was listed in the cemetery when a survey was done. Im waiting for a list to come to me. Check out Richard Sweatt in Pleasant Grove UM Cemetery. Then Check out the messeges left for the contibutor.

Hi Bonny, I'm sorry I'm not used to using this site. I can't see which names you want the cemetery info for. I think I added several photos to some of your postings and can't figure out who this is for. Thanks,

Hi Bonnie, I am doing research for a Sweatt family and I am in contact with Charles Sweatt, to whom Robert is his grandfather. Did you know Robert was a special federal agent? In the photo you post he is wearing his badge.

Would you possibly have any history of the Ware Shoals Sweatts??
My wife's grandmother was Elizabeth Sweatt, (1907-1977),married James "Jim" Bagwell They lived just outside Ware Shoals on the Laurens Highway. They are buried in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
