Bio and Links
Bio Photo My name is Brenda (Boyer) Kohr. My husband Pete and I are researching his side of the family (Kohr/Smith)&(Minnich/Buxton), as well as my own (Boyer/Grimes) & (Beil/Shott). We are not trying to see how many memorials we can amass so that we can have our numbers posted in the "Top Contributors" catagory. We want to make memorials to pay tribute to our families and friends and hopefully help others to find theirs.

We enjoy helping others by photographing grave markers. There are times that we may photograph markers that are near the ones we were asked to take photos of, or if we see one with our surnames. If there is no memorial for these extra photos that we take....I create one. If by chance I happen to create a memorial for a relative or a friend of yours don't hesitate to ask for a transfer. I don't feel the need to keep memorials that I have created. (unless they are family) I only created them so that someone may find a member of their family or a friend.

Your tombstone stands among the rest
Neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished marble stone

It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born

Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood and bone
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own

Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so

I wonder if you lived and loved
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot
And come to visit you

Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.

RE: Daugherty Photographs at Highspire Cemetery

So Jacob Leroy "Roy" Daugherty and Ethel M. Hendricks Daugherty are Newt's grandparents. Jeremiah H. Daugherty and Rebecca J. Gemmill Daugherty are Newt's great-grandparents. I was looking to see if there might be a connection to my known family members. I have a request to link up Newt's mother to her parents, but it hasn't been processed yet.

Daugherty Photographs at Highspire Cemetery
Hi Brenda & Pete,

Thanks for all the Daugherty photographs at Highspire Cemetery. Don't know if you realized that among the Daugherty's buried there are the grandparents and great-grandparents of former Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich.

Transfer & thank you
Hello again Brenda & Pete,
Thank you for your generosity in transferring:
William E. Keller # 87302587
to my care. With your help, I have successfully connected him with his parents, his one sibling.
His wife Edna;
Edna Irene Stengel Keller # 87302530
is now connected with her parents and seven siblings.
They are connected to each other and their son.
As I receive more information, I will be adding to Our shared memorials.
With sincerest appreciation,
# 47059326

RE: Brenda and Pete
The cemetery caretaker provided the initial one on the website which I needed to complete a proof for a genealogical society. I'm very grateful to get the close-up of the individual names.
