Long interested in cemeteries & ghost stories, this sight I really love! I love the fact that I can have "forever" obituaries for my loved ones and friends and that I can also assist those who are interested in tracing their family trees! I have a particular interest in Native American genealogy and cemeteries.|

Thank you so much for finding my Uncle David's obituary!

Just curious as to how much information you might have in his background history? James would be my great grandfather on my mothers side. I know James' father was Stewart B Garvie and James was married to Winona Keith (Garvie) James also had a brother that was lost (given to a Canadian family when they fled the area. Anyway I'd just like to see if you had anymore information.

Hello Dear Blue Rose of Cairo!
First, thank you so very much for photographing my great-great-grandmother's headstone! Her son, James, my great-grandfather, made his way to Alaska where he married my Yup'ik great-grandmother (the Yup'ik are one of Alaska's indigenous tribes--we live in Southwest Alaska). I grew up and live far, far, far away from Mary Timerman's resting place and may never see it in person (though I intend to try). In the meantime, I would like to ask you if you remember if Mary's headstone had an inscription on the base--the really, really base. In your photo, it looks like there might be lines or sentences there. If you're going to be in the neighborhood of Mary's headstone, would you be willing to take a picture of any inscription at the base of the stone? It would mean so much to me and to my Yup'ik father who is very curious about the non-Alaska side of his family.
In our language, "thank you" is quyana. So, quyana!
My best regards and deep thanks, :)

1867-1927 are the dates on the only headstone for a George Magers in Greenlawn cem in Moundsville, WV. It is a double stone with his wife, Mary E. 1873-1921. If this is correct please email me and I will send the photo to you. --- Tom.

quick question-on this page you list Levi married twice and that his first wife cordelia died before 1878 but when you list his children born after 1878 they still have the first wife as the mother-wondering if you meant to write Virginia Catherine not Cordelia.
