I have always found cemeteries to be soothing places. Find A Grave is a lovely idea very well carried forward, a compassionate and tender community.|
If you have information about any memorial I manage, please get in touch via public message or through the Edit tab. Please include sources, to help researchers.
ALEXANDRIA NATIONAL CEMETERY in Alexandria, Virginia: I have been researching this cemetery for several years and will be happy to help you learn more about anyone who is (or was previously) buried there.
UNKNOWNS: Please leave flowers and notes for the Civil War unknowns and others I have documented. Under "Search Contributor's Records" on this screen, enter "Unknown" in the Last Name field.
COLONISTS OF THE 1600s: Honoring the memories of our early colonial ancestors is important to me. If you have further details about the men who are buried in the Bloody Brook Mass Grave, please let me know.
SPECIAL PROJECT: Methodist Protestant Cemetery in Alexandria, Virginia, especially the south section, is a special project. Please contact me with any information about the people buried there.

You're welcome! Stay tuned and hopefully you will soon see her two brothers appear, along with her maternal grandparents.
Thank you for asking, but I don't believe they are related. Mine came from Guval, Cornwall and arrived in the US (NJ) in 1879.

Let me avoid suspicion of sending edits just for the "dot" but I do like to add the dot in passing when I am submitting a change/addition in the name category. Now I breathe more easily.

For McMenamin's birth year I simply shoved in the year 1853 since it was in an @ancestry family tree but two sources give "abt 1846" which allows him more growing-up time -- I do not recall which ones just now. Stay well!

I did not see the earlier page on Capt Khan, I looked for it before I created it. Will try to merge it, since some have left posts and tributes on it. Thank you! Connie Graham

Hi Mrs. Bee,
I finally got around to deleting my Joseph Padgett page so yours is the only and correct one (116098924). And thank you for the Mary Virginia Padgett mention--she is the wife Ernest Isaac Padgett, son of Joseph. I am working on getting everyone in the family connected.
