Having had a lifelong interest in history, but most especially American history, not only is Find a Grave an invaluable source of reference for historical figures of the past, but also a fascinating account of the lives of the non famous, whilst giving us the chance to pay our respects with flowers and written words to all, as well as our own loved ones now departed.
As I have said, I have a great interest in American history - US Presidents, Vietnam, Man on the Moon, Watergate, Civil Rights, Woodstock etc. and I like to leave tributes here to those I admire that were associated with the aforementioned but most especially those I would class as heroes of mine - President John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix and Elvis Presley. 1960's rock music and sport being other particular areas of interest.
I am 52 years of age and live in England (just outside London) with my wife and daughter.
If you have a moment, please visit my memorials to my late father, Leonard Bishop (more family members to be added soon) and those I have added for various British sportsmen and pets, all now sadly departed.
The picture at the top of the page (I am the one in the yellow shirt) was taken in Nottingham in 2003 and shows me with my all time favourite England cricketer (cricket is a particular passion of mine) Geoff Boycott. | |

 | Thank you Hi Dave, Thank you for leaving the lovely message and flower for my cat Limpy. It was so nice and thoughtful of you and really means alot to me at this very sad time. Her death was such a complete shock to us and we also lost our dog Ringo in Sept who was Limpy's good friend, she prefered him to the cats! I have been reading a book called "Pet Loss is Heaven's gain" by Niki Behrikis Shanahan. It has gave me alot of comfort that I will see all my furbabies again. I will be visiting your memorials as well. God Bless, Your Friend, Heidi | | | DaveV
