Gannon and I hope that you're all having a great summer!

...I would like to repeat what I was saying for awhile last year when I was in the hospital so much - even if a name is not in the highlights because of time and illness issues, PLEASE GO THROUGH MY MESSAGES. So many wonderful names and stories are sent in, and every single one of these angels deserves a token and a prayer. For instance, just searching with the memorial numbers that member Florida Boy just sent me will take you to military heroes, cancer warriors, baseball players and other fascinating folks...Big Jake notes that member Kentucky Sweetheart has children needing visits. Members Zina, Amy Wolfe and Theresa Hernandez always have children highlighted, and right now Theresa is also highlighting unsolved homicide cases. So look around...

Please check my new cemetery, ATTENTION: Years Between Visits. Children, heroes and other angels are going two and three years (even seven and eight years) between tokens...Can we remedy that? Thank You!

I hope that you will consider taking a moment to visit my mom, Jeannie for her ANGEL DAY on August 8th - this will be her second anniversary at Home, and she continues to be loved and deeply missed each and every day:
Anna Jean 'Jeannie' Ricks Poynter

Please visit this young lady and read more about her via Google:
Rebecca Draper Townsend

This gentleman was killed in the line of duty, and has very few tokens:
Officer Daryle Stephen Holloway

I was offline and missed this little guy's ANGEL DAY on August 1st:
Logan M. Foster

This HERO was recently killed by a drunk driver while taking his pregnant wife to the hospital; his wife and newborn son miraculously survived:
Sgt. Colby Michael Bozo

This police officer was killed in the line of duty:
Officer Eugene Yoakum

This sweetie has a BIRTHDAY on August 7th:
Shawn Alan Blatzer, Jr.

This gentleman has only a few tokens:
Reverend Musco Lee McCloud

My brother Ron has an ANGEL DAY on July 3/4 (he died during the night, and exact time is unknown), and I was asked to keep the link up to his page; THANK YOU for all of your thoughts and prayers for my family members. =) I just put a poem of mine on Ron's page that will tell a bit more about my brother's short time here, if you'd like to read it - it's - as Ron would have said - the cold as Chicago winter wind truth, and he was very brave to live through everything he did. Here is Ron's link:
Ronald Lucien 'Ron' Poynter, Jr.

Please remember that I have some assistance on the site right now, due to my eyes...so if it doesn't quite sound like me in replies, fear not. It is me, I promise, and my friend is just trying to get my rapid fire chatter down as sensibly as possible. ha!

LOVE ONE ANOTHER! =)

Bio: My son Gannon and I live outside Los Angeles, but we are from Chicago/Jersey/New York; we have traveled extensively in our lives and are only off the road for now due to medical issues - but I sure hope to be able to hit the road again, someday. =) I am widowed, and I write for a living; I am very lucky to be able to work at home and therefore be with Gannon 24/7; he is seriously physically and mentally disabled, and most of my friends on here already know how I feel about Gannon...If I leave anything behind that is good, it will be because Gannon made me a better person. It is an honor to be his mother. We are interested in charity work and support Wounded Warriors, Make A Wish, Toys for Tots, The Huntington's Disease Foundation, The Michael J. Fox Foundation; all programs for poverty and below poverty level families in America; Feed America, Books For Inmates, and more. We also have a soft spot for animal welfare programs, and sincerely believe the quote that "If you want to know a man's true character, study how he treats an animal." Lastly, I hope that my work on here will answer questions, bring reunions and pay tribute to those gone, but not forgotten.

"Pray for the dead, and fight like hell for the living." - MOTHER JONES

RE: O my gosh, It's hot in Cali!
Hi Rhonda & Mr Gannon:
I'm doing okay.I seem to have lost my "get up & go" amongst all the bubble wrap & boxes all over the place.GEESH ! How is one suppose to get anything done when you lose the above ? (your get up & go)

South Dakota has been a tad on the warm side as well but not as warm as where you are though.

The 75th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is rearing up to go & we're going to be invaded by bikes in our little town soon...UGH !!! Not a problem as I have a "friend " who has 13 "friends" who are w/him @ all times :-)

Hope everything turns out well w/your eyes my friend. It was great being able to talk to you as well.

{{{HUGS}}} to you & Mr.Gannon,

~ Beth ~

RE: fyi
Hi Rhonda and Gannon, Good news and not so good. Just to let you know, not sweating is a problem on my pharmacy sheets. It is only one problem I experienced, minor compared to my difference in speech and a loss of words. Fyi...I finished your August memorials a few at a time as I would have some issues yet. I will continue later.
