Bio and Links
Bio Photo My name is Carol and have lived in Georgia all my life. Residing in N.E. Atlanta for many years and grew up in Hapeville, Georgia.

My Dad began this amazing journey in finding our heritage. While on this journey we had discovered so many relatives and friends.

Peternal Lineage ...

Hape ~ Rogers ~ Puderbach ~ Putnam ~ Hall ~ Naill ~ Ecker ~ Engel ~ Reifsnider ~ King ~ Robbins ~ Thompson ...

Maternal Lineage ...

Hunt ~ Edwards ~ Harris ~ Brown ~ Clay ~ Simmons ~ Wingate ~ Maddox/Maddux ~ Knott ~ LeSueur ~ Stinson ~ Bryant ~ Harper ~ Wyatt ~ Tyler ~ Strother ~ Shy/Shi ~ Chastain ~ Hancock ~ Batte ~ Birchett/Burchett ~ Judkins ~ Polk ~ McLarty ~ Eidson ~ Daniell ...

Most of these memorials are based on personal research from my family history (birth, death, marriage, military & other records). Other information was taken from grave markers or obituaries that I've discovered over the years. Cannot guarantee the accuracy of all these memorials, but believe most of them to be correct.

Will be glad to make memorial transfers upon request that is if related. Would very much like to hear from you and should you have any additional information and if there are any corrections to be made, please let me know.

Confederates in Winterville
Georgia Girl,

I am in the process of placing a confederate memorial in the Winterville Cemetery. I am looking for any descendants if these soldiers. If you have information please contact me at billyg@uga.edu. I'm hoping some of the descendents would like to come to the ceremony, and possibly participate. I'd also like a correct spelling for Lessier/Lesueur?

RE: Great Grandparents
My great great grandfather and grandmother were John LeSueur (no middle name) and Caroline LeGresley LeSueur. They are from the Jersey Islands and converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon Church) and came to America 1855. They went by river boats and also horse and wagon across the United States, starting on the East Coast and ending up in Utah. John and Caroline's two sons John Taylor LeSueur and William Francis LeSueur (my great grandfather) moved their families to Arizona in 1879. I live her in Arizona along with many other LeSueurs. The LeSueur name is very well known here since William Francis LeSueur and John Taylor LeSueur helped settle the town here in Mesa, Arizona. The street in downtown Mesa that the Arizona Temple sits on is named LeSueur Street.

RE: LeSueur Family
That's great. Do you know who your great grandparents are?

John LeSueur
Thanks for the update. I also corrected the year of John's birth from 1913 to 1813 - apparently a typo from the original writer.
Stay well.

Direct descendant of John Booth
Through the research of my father and I and with the help of ancestry.com we found John Booth to be my 7th great grandfather.

RE: Daniel Booth
The Booth connection is interesting. I will look at them some more. I have ordered the Michael Curtis Hunt Bible from LDS. I am hoping "Yubana" is actually Juliana (I call her Julia Ann). She is my great x3 grandmother. Hopefully the Bible copy is handwritten and not transcribed.
Also, have you run across the Simmons name? I suspect Michael Curtis Hunt was married to a Simmons, but maybe Mary Ann Dixon was a second/ first wife, or her maiden name is actually Simmons.

Thomas T. Harper
The Executor for Wilkins Harper Sr will, was Thomas T. Harper. Do you know who he was? He also was a bondsman for when Ann married John Harvey in Dec 1828. Wilkins (the son) wasn't able to serve. I don't have the actual will, but just a court document about the executor.

RE: Wilkins Harper, Sr.
Did Wilkins Jr. die that same year? I can't figure out how Ann Harper by Dec 1828 was married to John Harvey. I guess I'm asking how we can be so sure which Wilkins (Jr or Sr) married her?
