Are all the Children In?

I think oft"times as night draws nigh
Of the old farmhouse on the hill.
Of a yard all wide and blossom-starred
Where the children played at will.
And when the night at last came down,
Hushing the merry din,
Mother would look around and ask,
"Are all the children in?"

Tis many and many a year since then,
And the house on the hill
No longer echoes to children's feet,
And the yard is still.
But I see it all,the shadows creep,
And though many years have been
Since then,I can still hear Mother ask,
"Are all the children in?"

I wonder if when the shadows fall
On that last short, earthly day,
When we say good-bye to the world outside,
All tired from our childish play.
When we step out into that Other Land
Where Mother has long since been,
Will we hear her ask, just has of old
"Are all the children in?"

I noticed Ernest Nevan Achey on your site. I think I can direct you to where he is buried, etc., if you are interested.

Armor Grave - Hickman Cemetery
Thanks for creating memorials for the Armor family at the Hickman Cemetery. I was filling a photo request for the Armor family and took photos of all their family graves. When I got home I realized all the Armor family did not have photos. I uploaded Orville H Armor July 15, 1909 - September 24, 1938. I think the Find A Grave Memorial# 95269346 has the name Ollie. You might want to change that to match his headstone. Thanks!

Old Penney Cemetery-Hamilton Co, TN
Thought I would let you know the correct name for this cemetery is Penney Cemetery. There is already a cemetery created for Penney Cemetery and most of your memorials in the 'Old Penney' are duplicates for the original memorials in 'Penney'. Sorry you did all that work.
