I'm entering memorial pages to remember those who have completed their journey here. I believe the Find A Grave burial registry helps us to preserve history and is an extremely useful genealogical tool. I especially love to hear from folks who have found a family member or friend through a memorial that I created, that gives real meaning to this work. If you have any corrections or additions to suggest on memorials that I have created, I will take care of them, usually within a week. If you want any records transferred to you that are not in my family, please do not hesitate to ask.

To my friends who have decorated the graves of my precious daughter, Tammy Jo Modglin, and my Mom and Dad, Dorothy Darlene Brown and Carmel Garth Brown, and my sister, Judith Ann "Judy" Brown, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your kindness is very much appreciated, as I decorate also for as many as I can, too.

God Bless All Of You...

RE: Augustus Heller
I will have to take a look at the book again. It is a copy of the original cemetery records. I have seen Augustus Freiderich Ferdinand and Augustus Ferdinand Freiderich. Then there is August Frederick Ferdinand, the anglicized version!! He did not die in Dekalb Co., so there is no death record here. I will see what I find.

RE: Otto Heller
Thanks. No relation. I just went to the cemetery to fulfill a photo request for an Augustus Ferdinand who died in 1947. So it took me a little research to put two and two together.

Find A Grave Memorial# 102830527
Hi, I've noticed that the memorial for Charles Fremont Shaw is missing his first wife, my GG Grandmother Ethel Mae Nickerson born Feb 5, 1883 Grant County, IN. Died May 18, 1953 in Hidalgo, TX. They married Feb 11, 1903 and divorced in 1917. They had one Son named James Chester Shaw born Oct 12, 1906 In Grant County Indiana and died as James Robert Shawn Dec 18, 1994 Hidalgo, TX. He changed his name in the mid 1930's, long story. Regardless HIS first son James Daniel Shaw born July 18, 1929 Marion, IN and died Oct 1, 2006 in Marion, IN was my grandfather.

I guess while I'm here, does anyone have photo's of Charles Fremont Shaw?

RE: Sarah Wilson
I hope that I am going to talk about the right Sarah Wilson here. A while back I added several people and updated information on lots more people here on findagrave. These are not relations of mine. I work at a library which was given several boxes of papers and items from the Robertson families of Charlestown and Deputy. The cemetery inscription lists in this collection were made in the late 30s or early 40s as far as I can tell. This woman was doing genealogy research on her family back at the turn of the century. From what I have read in her notes she actually went to various cemeteries to get this information herself. This is a typed list titled "Pisgah Cemetery inscriptions". So what is on it for Sarah A. Wilson, wife of Andrew J. Wilson, is born 7 Feb 1824 & died 1 Dec 1902. That is greatly different then what is already on findagrave. I don't think she died in 1858 because she is on the 1860 and 1870 census with here children. Her husband died in 1859 so he isn't on those census records. Like I stated earlier, this isn't my family. I am sharing information I found. And like anything it could be wrong. But comparing other data on these lists to what is on findagrave her lists have been pretty accurate. I hope this helps. :)

Alois Wilhelm
You have a memorial for Alois Wilhelm (101120337). I wanted to know where you got the birth date from to verify. I have a relative same name, from that area, but his birth date is 9/8/1866 instead of 1856 which you have. I know my date is accurate because of church baptism records. I'm trying to figure out if this is the person I'm looking for.

Hope Rowe Thomson #138338412
Hope's parents were Arthur Charles Rowe (b. Aug 1857) & Jennie Keachie (b. 1863; d. 8 Sep 1901). Both are listed as being buried in Greenwood cemetery. Do you have access to a cemetery burial list?
