Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born in Ardmore, Carter Co, OK where my husband jokingly says that I thought Noah's Ark had landed.

For thirty plus years I have been involved in genealogy. When my mother died, she left some notes about a few ancestors she had uncovered and hoped I would continue her research. That was the hook-in-the-jaw that changed my life. I only regret that I have missed out on so many years that I could have used. Alas, all those family stories that went in one ear and out the other, and all those family members who took so much information to the grave with them.

I am, however, thankful for the tools that are now available and for FindAGrave, a platform that I have spent many hours gaining from and contributing to.

If I have created a memorial for a member of your family, who isn't related to me, and you can add a biographical sketch I will be glad to transfer it to you. Many have received a transfer/transfers & have never added anything. This isn't fair to kin who may come along later who can do so. I will not transfer in mass numbers.

An exception to the above are my Bell, Dodson, Cagle, & Love ancestors & kin, most of whom have numerous descendants. Much of the information contained in their memorials is the result of many years of tedious research, and as new information comes to light, I would like to be able to make those changes. For these memorials please follow FindAGrave guidelines for transfers.

Instructions for ALL REQUESTS for corrections, additional information, or transfers:

1. Go to the memorial page, which has an "Edit" tab located on the upper right side of the memorial.
2. Click on the "Edit" tab, then click on the Suggest a correction or provide additional information link, which opens a message page.
3. Type in your message.

Making a request this way insures that no mistakes are made, because it takes me to the exact memorial.

Thanks for your understanding.

Thank you!!
Dear Virginia,
Thank you so much for putting together the memorial for Elizabeth Porter, my 5th great grandmother. The information you provided plus the photos have been so helpful in my research. I live in Olathe so I've been able to visit the cemetery-what a beautiful place!

Ezekiel Wright
Nice photo you have posted of Ezekiel Wright. I followed his daughter Pauline Jane Wright in my genealogy as she first married William Jonas Heath and had one daughter. They divorced and she married 3 more times. Buried under husband #4 surname: Pauline Jane Wright Hatfield. She is Find A Grave #101605925
Unfortunately I never ran across anyone who had an old photo of her to put up. I have sent in an edit request to link her to Ezekiel and Lucinda. Her death cert naming her parents is on the Find A Grave memorial.

RE: McDaniel Memorials
I don't have much in the way of bios but at least I can tie practically all of them together with the links. I'll get back with more of them later. Mary Adeline Carr was my 3rd great aunt. Blood lines a little thin but they all deserve be one big, "happy" family.

RE: Maud Leeper
Thank you very much, I am hoping to get all of our lost family information together since Maud had been missing since my grandmother Dorothy was a child. My Dad Larry Landon looked for Maud for his Grandmother before his mother passed and didn't find her and continued till the day he passed September 22nd 2014, I just wish he was here to see that we found her for him. Thank you for all of your help.

photo request
Hello Mrs. Brown
Sad to say but there is no stone for Mary Vincent to take a picture of. I am the president of the Sandy Branch Cemetery and have spent many hours recording and photographing the Cemetery. Is there another way I can help?

Are you family to the Vincent's at Sandy Branch? If so do you have any more you would share.

Your promptness was appreciated as well.

My mistake
The Hodge plot in Mount Olive Cemetery Healdton, Oklahoma. Robert Pleas Hodge #127296416. Apparently I can't read my own handwriting! I have the location of the Boles plot (also on my list), I'd like to see these as well. Also, if you know the Ragsdales in the same cemetery? William Peter # 60782644, his wife Margaret and father James. Thanks for your time.
