I AM RETIRED FROM 45 YEARS IN THE FLORAL INDUSTRY AND RECENTLY RETURNED TO THE SOUTH GEORGIA, NORTH FLORIDA AREA. I LIVED IN MANHATTAN, NEW YORK CITY FOR THE PAST THIRTY YEARS. FOR THE PAST FEW YEARS I HAVE BEEN "CLIMBING TREES"...DOING GENEALOGY RESEARCH INTO OUR FAMILIES ANCESTRY.|
The song is ended but the memory lingers on. .
- Lyrics by Irving Berlin .
"Each time we embrace a memory, we meet again with those we love."
Say not in grief 'he is no more', but live in thankfulness that he was. .- Hebrew proverb .
To live in hearts we leave behind, is not to die.
"All of the good things that each of you have brought to my life will go with me. They will make my spirit glow and that light will shine forever in the next place that I go."
What happens to the dying flower
The passing day the passing hour
.............In this life of cycles worn
Brings new life to what is born.
Here remains, remains of old
Once again their stories told
Flesh and bone, twig and leaf,
What once was now repeats.

I think of your passing everyday. I feel such a loss of not meeting you in person and know we missed our chance of meeting at the Greenwood Plantation dedication and book signing of "Greenwood Legacy." Now, I don't even want to go to the Presbyterian Homes of GA in Quitman without you to talk over all the Joneses!! 'til we meet, your light will shine in my heart.

Rest in peace, you will always be in our hearts. Thank you for the wonderful generous spirit you passed to each of us.
I noticed you added a picture to a memorial I created for Charles Thorn, Jasper Cemetery, in Jasper County, MO. I'm not related and would be happy to transfer him, and others I've made there, if you would like them.

|Long Black Veil||RE: Swango Familes of Wolfe Co,|
After checking some of your memorials I was able to arrive at that conclusion and you connection to the Swango family... Stephen Swango 1818, was a brother to my 2nd gr grandfather George Washington Swango.
After finding an article in the Hazel Green newspaper, I do not accept the death date posted on Find A Grave for George Washington Swango nor do I accept the death date of his wife Lucinda Hollon Swango. I am sure George & Lucinda died in late 1890 early 1891.
Following is the article;
The Hazel Green Herald. May 5, 1891.The funeral of G.W. Swango and Lucinda Swango, will be preached at the old Baptist Church, on Stillwater, the first Sunday in July, by Elders W.W. Caudle, H.B. Crofford and Barney Blankenship. Services commence at 10: O'clock AM. All invited... gr gr granddaughter of George W & Lucinda Swango.
