I am a Vietnam Veteran, a retired DuPont technical assistant and a member of the Goochland Historical Society in search of military veterans buried in Virginia and Virginia military veterans buried outside of Virginia. My wife and I have traveled much of Virginia in search of military graves. Now to make this information available to the public I am a member of Find A Grave. I also have posted my findings on my web site at vets2search.com. Visit our web page and click on ABOUT US AND VMVR to learm more about us and what we do.

RE: Removed John Henry Daniel and Alice Crawley Pritchett Thanks for the reply. I do remember Jimmy Daniels. I can still picture how he looked, I think. I understand about following the wrong leads in this genealogy stuff. I am just getting started and have no idea what I am doing. It seems to be a dead end on my father's side past his father and mother's name. Even then, his mother's name is one thing on his marriage certif. and something else on his death certif. I'm going to do what I can find from home and then go see the Mormons. They have a small church here and will help. my e-mail is : email@example.com I live in Bandon, Oregon - about as far from Virginia as you can get without falling into the ocean.
Fork Union Church Cemetery Thanks for your quick response. Here is the rest of the list. Kenneth Brown Phillip Brown William Brown Monroe Chambers Willie Chambers George Cuttino Anderson Garrett Arthur Garrett John Garrett Eddie Jones James Green Chatman Oliver Herbert Oliver Lawton Porter Linwood Seay
Thanks again. Now if I could only get the site name changed. Any ideas on that? EDF
Fork Union Baptist Church cemeteery This is not a church cemetery. It is a private family cemetery belonging to the Seay family. There are no Agees buried here. We have an Agee family cemetery, but these Agees are not buried in Fluvanna County. Please remove them from the list.
THomas J. Barker Hi Tom . I read your description of The Thomas J. Barker memorial. Find A Grave#75151091. You told me that when you took the photo of his T/S that it was overgrown with bushes and the only one there . The site has been cleaned up and there are 3 known memorials there and three unknown.
Your description Cemetery notes and/or description: This is a single grave burial place. While it is straight across the road from the Goochland Baptist Church Cemetery, it is shielded from view in the highway by a clump of bushes.
RE: Alpha G. Ring Alpha Ring was born on Mar 20 1905 according to the famly bible of his brother Wesley Ring. His parents were Emmett Martin Ring and Jencie Anderson. He was born in Carroll Co. Va. His Father Emmett Martin Ring was a Civil War veteran who passed away around 1910. On the 1910 census Alpha was with Jencie and siblings in the Sulphur Springs District of Carroll Co. In 1920 he is living with a Seay family in Fluvanna Co. and remained with that family thru 1940 census. I spoke with the nephew of Walter Nash Childress who spoke very highly of Alpha. Said he was very lean and athletic with dark skin and a very hard working quiet man. Alpha is mentioned in his mothers obituary in the Galax Gazette Archives. She died in 1952 but his name is listed as Alvin George Ring who lived in Columbia, Va. so they must have kept in touch somehow. I don't know how he got to Fluvanna, Va. His nephew is kinda upset about the Find A Grave info so if you change it will you please let me know so I can send him the new info. If you need verification of this I will send it to you. Bonnie
Alpha G. Ring I have information on Alpha G. Ring buried at Corinth Church Cemetery that is well documented. Let me know if you would like to have it so his parents can be listed on his memorial. Thank you for your time. Bonnie
