Bio Photo I think that find a grave is a wonderful way for historians, genealogist and cemetery preservationists to combine efforts for everyone's benefit. I have found members of my family tree because of the efforts of those recording cemetery stones as memorials on this site. To those individuals, I am very grateful:-)

You have no idea what you have done!

This is my husband's great aunt Emily. I have her and her husbands in my database but hadn't put her together with the memorial.

What is really bizarre is, I spent all day yesterday working on her parents and older siblings for an update to I would have begun my search for her today and probably would not have figured it out due to the difference in spelling.

Now I have to figure out if her obit or our old research is the correct spelling for her last husband's name.

Thank you so very much,

Appreciate the photo of the Fisher tomb and really appreciate the time you took to write down the information on the people entombed there. Jane

RE: Swartwout
Hi Melissa,

Wonderful document, thanks so much for sharing. I have attached John Henry's parents to his page and added his first wife Ella Virginia Swartwout, his second cousin. John Henry had two other children, Ruth and Sally, and not sure about their last names. Ruth was adopted and my grandfather Roeloff and Sally were raised by aunts after their mother Agnes died and John Henry became too infirm to care for them. My email is if you have anything else to share.

Found your wonderful photos of Swartwout family members and wondering if you might have one of Satterlee Swartwout's younger brother John Henry Swartwout, born in 1849 and died in 1925. John Henry is my great grandfather and have been unable to find a photo of him. Thank you!

The correct photos have been uploaded for you to view on the Henry Serkes page. Sorry for the delay. We have also uploaded the death certificate if that is of any help with your research.

Henry Serkes (Find A Grave Memorial# 40578835)
The grave marker for Henry Serkes has been fixed and is now standing as it should. As soon as the rain stops here and the stone has a chance to dry, I will reshoot it and let you know when I have uploaded the photo.
