If you find that one of my memorials is of someone you are related to, please click the "Edit" tab and tell me your relationship. I will be happy to transfer the memorial to you. |
Note: I consider the gravestone photos that I have taken for Find-A-Grave to be in the Public Domain. You are therefore free to use the photos I have taken without asking my permission or giving me credit.
Also, please know that I occasionally find that I have taken gravestone photos for memorials that already have existing photos. If my photo is markedly better than the existing one because the existing photo is crooked, uncropped, or was taken from a poor angle, I will add my photo. Please do not contact me to advise or complain that I have "duplicated" an existing photo. Thanks for your understanding.
The following is from Find-A-Grave's FAQs: "Any contributor can upload an appropriate photo to any memorial regardless of who manages the page. No permission from the memorial manager is needed. However, if there is already a photo of the headstone, a second similar photo should not be added unless the original is of poor quality and the new photo is dramatically better."
