I have been doing Genealogy since 1990. I am researching my family history and my wife' family history. I am also doing a complete Carkin genealogy which is my mother-in-laws family. In March 2010 I decided that it was time to join find a grave. I am posting memorials for all the burials that I have in my family tree. I am also posting photos as I take them.
The major names that I am searching are: Amey,Amy,Beebe,Carkin,Chandler,Cummings,Hall, Hastings,Luther,MacDonald,Norstrom,Nutting,Patch,Tait, and Wright.
If any information I enter is incorrect or you wish to add something just let me know. I prefer that you use the "Suggest a Correction" feature behind the 'Edit' tab on the memorial. Thank you.
I was away from Find-a-grave for a few weeks and then I rushed into action to handle grave requests and I forgot that I should have done edits before doing transfers. Bob asked me to transfer management of the below graves to him which I did and then later I noticed that he had edits for dates on the same graves. I approved them but I expected error messages at the end of the session because I was no longer the manager. I never got any. Denise had made a visit to the cemetery and had a lot of changes for the same graves in my edit queue. Again I accepted them but no error messages. I was hoping the error messages would contain the submitted changes but I now have no record of what was submitted.
I hope you two can make things right.
Oh yes, Denise, I am still sitting on a few of your edits with changes to either the first of last name. I don't want to mess these up so I'll look into things when I don't feel rushed. A change might inadvertently create a duplicate monument.
The messed-up monuments are: John Phelps Eaton - no. 18168270 Mary Ella Gray Eaton - no. 18168271 Agnes Viola Eaton - no. 18168269 Olive Gray Eaton - no. 18168272 Robert Marshall Eaton - no. 18168273
Charles Violet Hello again, I just wanted to let you know that I checked my records. Please note that Charles' first wife was indeed Marie David. She dies 5/28/1751 in Louisbourg, Nova Scotia. On June 27, 1751 he married the daughter of a carriage maker. Her name was Marie Sudois.
Violette Dear Bob, the Violette geneology was completed long before you began your research in 1990. I am a direct descendant of Charles Violet and son, Francois Violet. In those days the Violette name was spelled Violet. Anyway, our Violette records indicate Charles' first wife's name was Marie David. You have indicated on the Find A Grave site that her name was Marie David Soudois. I am very curious as to how you have come by this information. Thank you.
