I am a retired naval officer. I am addicted to genealogy. I love puttering around in cemeteries, even if I don't know any of the people there personally. I like to find and meet new cousins that I didn't know previously and share genealogical info with them. If you go back far enough, we are all cousins.|
Families I am particularly interested in include:
Zellner, Coffey, Harrell, Welch, Hayes, Rucker, Hipsher/Hipshire, Lorenz, Slocum, and Adams.
I have a special interest in the genealogy of many of the families who settled in Grainger County, Tennessee. They intermarried early and often, and if you are kin to any of them, you are likely kin to all of them.
The Millers were Volga Germans who immigrated to the U.S.A. in 1875. I have lots of information on them and the other Volga German families they intermarried with. I am happy to share with anyone who is researching that area.
I am always happy to transfer to a relative, even a distant one (unless they are my relatives, too!). I don't mind managing all the records I have created, but I am more than happy to transfer them to someone else with a direct interest to manage.
Feel free to use any photo I have posted. I wouldn't have posted them, if I didn't want to share.

|Tom Sowell||Thanks for the photo add|
You added a high school photo of my dad's, Billy Zellner Sowell, to his site. Thank you.

Thank you very much for you information. I appreciate your help.
|Jean Foster||D R Heist|
You posted a memorial for D R Heist who is buried in Fort Supply, Woodward, Oklahoma cemetery. I am wondering if you have any more information on this person and if there is a memorial.
Thank you, Jean Foster

Thank you for allowing use of your photos. The portrait of Amanda Sloan, wife of Millard Fillmore Sloan, especially. Sister of my great-grandmother Isabelle Mallatt Redman. Daughter of Hiram Mallatt and Mary Ann Ascher (grave not yet located).

I transferred Ibb Harrell to you.

Your are probably right in that regard. Oscar cemetery is near where I grew up. I was trying to determine if it were worth my while to go down there and photograph it again to see if we could reach a higher percentage on it being nearly 100% photographed. However, life just keeps getting in the way of doing fun things.
|Debbie Gibbons||RE: Homer Page Godbey|
Mr. Godbey's Texas Death Certificate 44535 list the burial on May 5, 1984 in Mount Olivet Cemetery. His headstone in Mount Olivet does have the dates as well. Sorry but, I don't know the section. If you call the cemetery at 817-831-0511 for a location, I would be happy to get you a picture.
If you need a copy of the death certificate, please let me know.

Thanks for a reply on side lying photo presentations. Had not given this much thought. Any of mine which were on the side were usually my fault and easily corrected. If the photo's size
(too large) is not the issue, can't imagine what may be going on. I do know that when photo problems occur, Find A Grave admin can resolve. But, if there are many, likely they'll defer and give the contributor a fix. Best of regards and thanks for your input at this site. Good luck in resolving the issue. Let me know if you do.
