A man found a cocoon of a butterfly. One day a small opening appeared. He sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to squeeze its body through the tiny hole. Then it stopped, as if it couldn't go further.|
So the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bits of cocoon. The butterfly emerged easily but it had a swollen body and shriveled wings.
The man continued to watch it, expecting that any minute the wings would enlarge and expand enough to support the body, Neither happened! In fact the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around.
It was never able to fly.
What the man in his kindness and haste did not understand: The restricting cocoon and the struggle required by the butterfly to get through the opening was a way of forcing the fluid from the body into the wings so that it would be ready for flight once that was achieved.
Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our lives. Going through life with no obstacles would cripple us. We will not be as strong as we could have been and we would never fly.
So have a nice day and struggle a little and teach well.
I didn't know what to put here, I like this little story, so I thought I would share it.

Thanks for remembering Ron!
Merry Christmas Ron!

You're most welcome!
Everything you said about Sunny Joe was true. He was one of Boston's most legendary DJs.
Thanx so much for remembering him.

Hi Ron! Yes, you are exactly right. I was in Boston for work and have a relative that is interred at Harmony Cemetery in Georgetown, so while I had some time I drove over to search for him as well as several outstanding photo requests from Findagrave.com. Strangely, I found all three of the photo requests but never found my relative, a Grant who is listed there. An obit confirms interment but he has no headstone! The Soper gravestone was a short distance from where I parked and was the first one I found. Glad that I could help. Steve Keefe
I visited this cemetery on Monday. I thought I had the photo for Henry Leroy Moulton but when I got home it was Leroy J Moulton (perhaps the father of Henry). There were several Edson's here. I have added the memorials. Are they related?
I am going back to Gould soon.

I was creating the memorials for the last of the photos I had from Gould and I noticed you had added more.
Barnston is a town - you could add a map to the cemetery page for Barnston Pleasantview. Search Google maps for Barnston, Quebec - the red icon is at a four corners intersection. The cemetery is on the left side of Chemin de Baldwin Mills Barnston just beside the brown field.

I am adding more photos now -but I am having problems with the Find A Grave website. Perhaps you are also - there are two memorials for Freddie -I added the photo to the one linked to parents.
The two photos for the cemetery that I added on Tuesday are still pending approval. This is a small cemetery. I looked for Nancy Edson and her husband. The Drouin record for Nancy says -buried at Gould. I even looked around the back fence of the cemetery to see if there were some broken pieces of stones. When you are finally able to see the cemetery photos you will see the broken stone of Philinda - most of that row are Suttons. To the right of Philinda is an empty area and also just in front of that row. Perhaps they were stones in the ground that are now covered over. Anyway I can check again next time I'm in the area.

I have that monument in the background.
From the list at Interment I still have these Suttons - Harold/Frances, Elbert/Charlotte/Mary,
James/Caroline, Charles/Olive, Carl/Minnie, Calvin, Freddie, and Susan M 1830-1899. Also Freeman/Doris incorrectly listed with the family name of Hitchcock - that is his middle name. You can enter these and I can add the photos.
I will transfer the others.
On the Barnston Pleasantview Cemetery could you add Quebec to the location. You can ask for Barnston to be added to the list of cities. I just recently asked for an addition and it took just a couple of days. There is a specific email address and what to put in the subject heading.
But they don't let you know when it has been added - you need to keep checking. Of course I wish the 'request a photo' was available on Canadian cemeteries. Don't know why it isn't.

I went to the cemeteries today. I have added the photos at Gould and Barnston Pleasantview. I also added cemetery photos (including Bellows)- but they won't be visible for a few days.
I could not get to the stones at Bellows - that will have to be another day.
At Mount Forest, I did not find Carrie Sutton Kennedy, but I did find a few other Suttons.

I will be going to Mount Forest Cemetery in Coaticook - have a look at the list. This cemetery is larger than most of the others I have visited. It may take some time to find the stones I will be looking for. I hope to visit Bellows and Pleasantview at the same time - all three are just off of Route 141.
I can transfer the Gould Suttons to you - they were just random photos - not my relatives.
