I was born in Bartlesville, OK; graduated from the University of Tulsa, in Tulsa, OK---then began adventuring as my ancestors have done! They certainly followed the famed "Go West...". On my Father's side: from Virginia through all the Southern states which each move taking them further and further west until my Uncles stoped in California. My Mother's folks also started out in Virginia, but only "barged along the rivers" as far West as Indiana. They stayed there for a couple or three generations, then the "adventure" bug hit my Great-grandfather, and he headed for OK -- "brand new state". And here we have been. I, however, went even further -- a stint in Afghanistan in the Peace Corps, several years in San Francisco, then Houston, TX, then the big Apple, NYC! Now, I'm back in Bartlesville working on Genealogy, and trying to get the Heritage Scrapbook done that I've been starting for several years! There never seems to be enough time!

I wrote you directly. We are related. Hope your e mail address is still working.

Take care, Linda K.

RE: Ransons
Actually, I have a farm. Cows, pigs, chickens, milk goats, gardens, and production kitchen. It takes more time than I have. Plus in the past two weeks we've been hit with a tornado and four hailstorms. Augh! I need your number and the memorial numbers if you want them to transfer to you. I'd check the FAQ to make sure that's all I need.

RE: Ranson gravestones
You are most certainly welcome. I had hoped to do the whole cemetery, but only got the right half before I moved. I am not related to any of the Ransons, so if you'd like me to transfer the memorials, just send me the needed info and I'll do it when I can.

I've been trying to do research on my family, specifically my mother's mother. I knew she was buried in Oklahoma and thanks to you, I found her grave.

Thanks!

RE: Ola & A.P. Tidwell
I'm not related to any Tidwell's, but years ago had a wonderful Tidwell friend in California. We used to go hiking and enjoying wildflowers, etc together.
I'm so sorry your knees will no longer let you walk the various cemeteries. What a shame. But, at least Find A Grave will let you visit through photos!
Have a nice evening.

RE: Ola & A.P. Tidwell
You are very welcome. I have added photos for all the stones in Matoy Cemetery, Bryan Co, OK. (I hope). There are other Tidwell's who are of ages to be children and grandchildren of A P and Ola. Take a look.

Trippett
I was out at Meade the other day, the first time in almost a year. Some jackass thought it would be cute to try to knock over Ruth's stone. They didn't succeed, but the stone is now out of position. Why do punks think that's funny? Ticks me off big time. I no longer have your original message, but didn't you tell me that Ruth had died in childbirth? It wasn't in the cemetery transcript I used, but there was a small Infant Trippett marker right next to Ruth's stone. It wasn't in the ground, but leaning against a tree stump. I didn't have a camera with me, however. I'll make a memorial for the baby and when I can borrow a camera (mine quit), I'll get a pic.
