RE: About Eugene Lindsey
Thanks Molly for the prompt response! Eugene was also mentioned briefly in a book called "Miracle at Midway". Gordon Prange was the author. Commander Lindsey was a very interesting individual and there is not much information on wikpedia about him.

About Eugene Lindsey
Hi Molly, my name is Steven Ortiz and I live in Pittsburg, Kansas. I wanted to let you know that there was an article written about Eugene Elbert Lindsey in our local newspaper, the Morning Sun sometime back when I was a teenager (late '70s). I think that the article was written around the time that the movie "Midway" made its screen debut. I believe the article was titled "Local man loses life at Midway". It had a photo of him in the newspaper. I remember reading it and my high school history teacher had also saved and cut the article out of the newspaper. I don't know if you ever knew about it or not but it was interesting reading. What I can remember about the article is that he may have spent some time here in either Pittsburg or South East Kansas as a whole. If you have questions, please shoot me a message & have a good day.

Best,

Steven C. Ortiz

Hi, I am a great-granddaughter of Annie Martha Lindsey Holland. My mamaw was Lillie Bell Holland Clark. I appreciate all of the info on here. Some of it is confusing, but most genealogy data can be confusing. Thank you and God bless.

Dear Molly,
Thank you for placing the memorial for my Dad, he was a wonderful person with a huge heart.

I wanted to ask if you were by chance kin to us? If so, please let me know as I have some questions about my GG Grandmother on Dad's (Norman) side. Thank you again & God Bless You.....

duplicates - combined cemetery listings
FYI - When Findagrave combined two listings of the same cemetery with two different names (Number Six Cemetery and Baggett Cemetery), duplicates can be automatically made. I dont go back and do checkups on everything I have done to see if duplicates are made when they combine listings, but I dont mind taking mine down if my work is later than someone else's. Keep that in mind, because it may not be a lack of someone doing an initial search, sometimes it's just a computer thing.
