Thomas Sanford is my 9th great-grandfather too! I am descended from the Sanfords a few generations later that moved to the Margaretville, NY area.
Lovely to find you! I cannot for the life of me figure out cousin numbers so I won't possibly try. :)

I couldn't figure out how to get to the error to fix it either. I can see this becoming a problem as more people get on Findagrave who may not fully understand how to use it properly. I'm starting to see lots of duplications and questionable entries. Well, I suppose if neither of us can figure out how to change it, we'll just have to roll with it -- at least we know the truth!

Hi Sally, some of the graves in the last batch are under a big maple tree with poor light; even with flash the photos aren't great. If you remind me after the leaves fall and I'll try for a better picture. Regards, J
|Mary E. Warner||William-1 Russell|
Sally, I have been given some Findagrave transfers for the William-1 Russell of Salem, MA line. I now have from an intralibrary loan, George Ely Russell's book, "William Russell of Salem, MA, 1674," pub. 1989. Perhaps there is information in this book that can help your search into the Ellis Russell line. I am entering specific information about his daughter, Mary (Russell) Warner and his son Oliver Russell, because of the way the Russell's and Warner's met up again and married in MI through the Berry family.
|Mary E. Warner||Ellis Russell|
Sally, I am interested in your 4X great-grandfather, Ellis Russell #50647693. Although you say on your flower that his "life is a mystery," perhaps you or someone in your family knows where he was buried, or where his family migrated: New York, Ohio, Michigan ... Ellis is my 5X great-grandfather, and his daughter Mary Russell married David C. Warner Sr and they moved from MA to NY and their children came on to MI. Mary (Russell) Warner moved to MI after her husband passed away.
When the parents became elderly, they were shuffled from child's home to child's home... an e-mail from you would be appreciated. Perhaps we can solve the question of where Ellis was buried.

I was so sure I had the right grave I didn't check the other Bartholomew site pointed out to me. It was about a 100 yards away. I'll give it a second try.
