Bio and Links
Bio Photo My name is Carol and have lived in Georgia all my life. Residing in N.E. Atlanta for many years and grew up in Hapeville, Georgia.

My Dad began this amazing journey in finding our heritage. While on this journey we had discovered so many relatives and friends.

Peternal Lineage ...

Hape ~ Rogers ~ Puderbach ~ Putnam ~ Hall ~ Naill ~ Ecker ~ Engel ~ Reifsnider ~ King ~ Robbins ~ Thompson ...

Maternal Lineage ...

Hunt ~ Edwards ~ Harris ~ Brown ~ Clay ~ Simmons ~ Wingate ~ Maddox/Maddux ~ Knott ~ LeSueur ~ Stinson ~ Bryant ~ Harper ~ Wyatt ~ Tyler ~ Strother ~ Shy/Shi ~ Chastain ~ Hancock ~ Batte ~ Birchett/Burchett ~ Judkins ~ Polk ~ McLarty ~ Eidson ~ Daniell ...

Most of these memorials are based on personal research from my family history (birth, death, marriage, military & other records). Other information was taken from grave markers or obituaries that I've discovered over the years. Cannot guarantee the accuracy of all these memorials, but believe most of them to be correct.

Will be glad to make memorial transfers upon request that is if related. Would very much like to hear from you and should you have any additional information and if there are any corrections to be made, please let me know.

James G. Hunt
Your memorial for James G. Hunt states that he served in the Revol. War. I can prove he was a patriot and took the Oath, but have never been able to find proof he served. I am trying to join the DAR if you have a source I would be eternally grateful if you would share it.
James G. Hunt is my 5th great grandfather. Would love to communicate with you.
Thanks for everything you have done and are doing.

RE: John Harper ~ Memorial #41994752
Oh boy is my face red! Yep, you are absolutely correct, his middle name was not Putnam. I checked after your message and found my error! Seems I have a large document (happy to share with you) shared by another researcher that lists this HARPER branch in census, will, military, biography & family records. He is listed on the 1820 GA Fed Census records as are other Harper & allied family members.

Needless to say, I took the word next to his name as his middle name when in fact it was Putnam for Putnam Co, GA (it was repeated in other info as well)-argh! So thanks for catching that and asking for confirmation...normally am so very careful and plain slipped up on this one.

My connection in the next message.
With appreciation,
Vickie LANE.

RE: Oops ...
Hi Carol,
Thanks for the update. I guess we'll have to hire an archaeologist to finally try to help us locate any graves on the old Hunt property, if it can be found. Maybe we can go back to look again after the snakes, chiggers and ticks go to sleep for the winter. Hope all is well with you and yours.
Best Regards,

Harris Family
Dear Georgia

Thank you for your information on Thomas Harris, 1616- 1672.

He is my 9th ggf I believe. I'm pretty sure he is the same one I have in my tree, as all details seem to match. I am wondering whether you have discovered when the Harris family emigrated from England to Virginia, specifically the Isle of Wight.

thanks for your research - it is wonderful to discover!
