1st Lt. C.M. Bursley, Co.E 3rd Maine Infantry.
I just posted a photograph of Adjutant James W. Clark, 1st Maine Heavy Artillery and noticed your surname on the memorial. Are you a descendant of Lt. Bursley?

Naomi Brooks Boone
I added a little more information. It seems that her real father died in 1928. I'm not sure if Herbert was a relative, or a foster father, or even her real father - maybe he seemed like her real father to her.

Naomi Brooks Boone
I see a Naomi Boone married to a Thomas L. Boone in Maryland in various records. Was there any more info on her husband in the obit? On her memorial I've put that she's buried next to Herbert Smith, who may be her father. Perhaps somebody else will have some more info. I had a nice walk this afternoon and picked up a few more photos for memorials - Section G is quite a small one...

Naomi Brooks Boone
Forgot to mention that I found the grave of Naomi Brooks Boone next to Herbert Smith's. She appears on census records as a "cousin," although there is a huge age difference between her and the Smiths. I made a memorial for her.

You're most welcome! I wanted to get out there earlier but it was just too cold. Mayme's DOB is on the marker for you to add. And was she Mayme or Mary? Which name are people most likely to search for? Regards.

You are welcome. Glad to see you linked the family. Find A Grave only allows linking of spouses or from child to parent, not parent to child.
