Bio and Links
Bio Photo A cemetery is not a place just to bury the dead. It should be a sacred place for quiet reflection, peace, tranquility, honor, and remembrance. It is a history of people and a perpetual record of yesterday.

Love begins with a smile...grows with a kiss...and ends with a teardrop....

I will not use chalk, shaving cream, brake fluid or any other potentially harmful methods to enhance the inscriptions. Please do not use these on any photo requests I make, Thank You.

Although FINDAGRAVE can be very useful for genealogy, FINDAGRAVE as the name implies is a grave registration site not a genealogy site. I try to use this as my guide when on this site.

I will NOT add a link to a burial unknown memorial, because I am still actively looking for where the person is actually buried. This site is named Find a GRAVE for a reason.

Please do not request to add a birth date calculated from the gravestone, unless the complete age is known or listed (y/m/d). Dates that do not agree with the gravestone will be placed in the bio section. Thank You.

George Boughton b. 1926, d. 1988
Hi, this is what I have found so far (nothing really) If George was cremated at Green Lawn Crematory, his death certificate would state Green Lawn. If the funeral home or family member picked up his ashes, and they were never in "Permanent Storage" at the Cemetery. then there would be no record recorded at Green Lawn Cemetery. (Still trying to help you find George) Patty

Hull Cemetery Redding CT
Visited today looking for Jesse Banks 1742-1826 and his son Jesse Banks 1766-1833. We could find no stones here that were readable. Traveled long way to see them. Can you let me know where they are so we can travel back to photograph them? We will be in CT for a few more days. Linda Palmer, direct descendant

RE: Sgt. Wm H Boughton
I do have names of contemporary relatives. Please e-mail me at and we can make arrangements to get those to you. Etta Lean Hellenberg gave the diary to my grandmother. I think Etta was married to one of William's relatives. (I think William went by his middle name Henry.)

Asa & Maria Boughton
I was looking over a listing of corrections that came with my cemetery inscription book. It lists the names of Asa & Maria Broughton as being misspelled in the index and in the cemetery listing as Boughton. This confirms the belief that Boughton's were never in this cemetery. The error was made when they typed up the book pages & index. Also, the 2 stones in question are now missing since the cemetery reading. The township officials could not tell me where those 2 stones are now located. Sorry I will not be able to fulfill the photo request.

Gary, any and all info that you might have on william would be helpful, unable to connect him to his wife Helen(unknown). Helen was left a window at 23, so dates match but I cant follow her anymore either.

RE: Maria & Asa Boughton
I have confirmed with the Township that there are no Boughton's buried in that cemetery at that location. There must have been an error when the cemetery was read and they misspelled the names. The people buried in that area are Broughton. When the cemetery was read, they listed 2 markers. If those markers existed, they are gone now. All that is in that area are 2 flat pads for headstones. Sorry that I will be unable to help you at this point. If I obtain any further information, I will let you know. I am still doing some further checking on the Broughton's.

RE: John Bouton
Your welcome
When I go to Dry Creek again I'll look for other Bouton headstones. Many stones are missing over the years.

RE: Maria & Asa Boughton
I am still checking. I made an error on one problem I sent to Maria's memorial. I sent a corrected problem. The area where they are listed and where I found 2 flat pads is in front of is Broughton not Boughton. I had listed Broughton correctly on Asa'a problem. I know a person who is related to the Broughton's and have inquired about the missing stones. The stones were in the next row by Rhetta, Arthur and Donal Broughton. Donal just passed away this year. I also added a phone number for the Fiscal Officer for Greenfield Township to Maria's problem listing. The officer may be able to tell you the plot owners. Hopefully someone can help.
