RE: Sarah Oatman
Every time I tried to explain it to myself it got confusing! I kept going back to check if I had the records all correct. Too many Davids, too many Sarahs, lol. Pleasure working with you and love your photographs!

RE: Sarah Oatman
Hi Jonathan, yes, David who m Eunice Austin.

Their son Hiram married Freborn and Sarah Oatman's daughter Marilla MAtteson.

I left an extensive post on this several years ago on Ken and Marge's board several years ago.

The marriage of David, (relict of Eunice), and Sarah (Oatman) Matteson, (relict of Freborn) was 06/09/1842 in Shaftsbury.

This was after all their grandchildren of Hiram (his son) and Marilla (her daughter) were born.

It explains why she is in the Shaftsbury cemetery listed as "wife of David", instead of the Arlington cemetery with her first husband Freborn.

RE: Titus and Phebe Family
Jonathan, I don't have the photos. The inscriptions came from Peggy Jenks' book. But I'll get the photos next summer if you don't beat me to it.

Myra Lyon
Jonathan, thanks for the parents of Myra Lyon. I've added the names to her memorial. Now, I've got to see if they have memorials so I can link them.

Patty Matteson link
Sorry - just looked it over again and its likely because the dates are very incomplete as yet - I submitted full dates a couple days ago and they haven't been accepted yet. Sorry for troubling you. Thought it was some kind of glitch.

RE: Patty Matteson link
I meant that on Peleg's page the spousal link shows only Patty's name, with no dates included as is usually what is seen.

There is no page number in the link for the Captain's wife - it is #64943017.

RE: Photographs of Free Church Cemetery stones
Some of the stones when they were store somewhere before being moved to Riverside, came up missing. I'm also related to the Matteson family. My father is interested in talking to you about the family. If you could email him at plt240@ptd.net
