RE: Theodore Johnson
Welcome and glad to help there are two memorials for Theodore. I let the other person know that so maybe he can send you the things that are on that memorial.

RE: John M Johnson's stone
Regarding his death date, I assumed 1864 was the date as listed in the memorial. I know the cemetery has been turned over to the Town of Koshkonong, perhaps they will know for sure.

Love your comment
I appreciated reading your message to Gerblady- I don't know what her issue is- I resent her poking her nose in memorials and editing as it suits her. She tried to change a MrsFirstnameofhusband to Mrs prefix husband's name.
I see she has done this to many people.

Dubois family memorials in Mauston
Hi Timothy,
I looked up the cemetery records to find the plots so I could photograph the headstones for you, but there is NO RECORD of them in any cemetery in Mauston. I am so sorry.
The records I looked at are for all cemeteries in the mauston area.

RE: Meservey family
I remember our exchanges 6 months ago. I was and am so new to all of this. However, I DO want to manage my Father's Memorial. I will write more information re: a bio for him when I get back to MI. I have photos of him in his US Army Air Corps leather jacket, silk scarf and leather flight helmet. I posted it on his Memorial yesterday. I have many photos of him and the WWII plane. He never saw action, as he was in flight training and then the War ended. I have photos of his siblings, grandparents, etc.
I am committed to babysitting our 2 grandsons for a week and then we head to MI. where I will have more time to devote to this. If I find it to be too overwhelming for some reason, I will be happy to have you manage Dad's Memorial...I will certainly try!
What happens to his Memorial...the management of it, when I die? Do you take over the management, or does it revert back to Veterans Affairs.
I felt that when you told me that I was now managing it....I was a little unsure, because it would no longer be the responsibility of the VA? Am I correct in assuming this?
I am the only one in my family that has ANY interest at all in our Ancestry! Kathleen Meservey Hilla

RE: Harland Meservey
Hello Timothy!
I have old photos of MY Meservey Family: my Grandparents, Great Grandparents, my Father and his siblings, and of course, my Mother.

I have been going through my Mother's things; she passed away July 2011. Needed to settle the estate, so put everything in storage and sold her home. Price keeps going up on the unit, so, we finally emptied it. I have been going through all the photo albums, which I am very familiar with. Since I have been on Find A Grave for a little over 6 months, it will take some time to add photos and information. I have been "looking around" on here and find this site very interesting.

Are you related to the Meservey Family? I would appreciate any information you may have re: my Meservey lineage.

Re: my Uncle Harland Meservey...Everyone ALWAYS called him HARLAN...even my Father did! So, when I saw the correct spelling, written in my Grandmother's hand, I thought I would send you a message.
I have NOT been able to find the grave for Loren EMIL Meservey, Born May 11, 1909. He was a Veteran. He was from Illinois, like the rest of my Father's family. "EMIL" was the first child born to my Grandparents...Elwood Albert Meservey and Emma Sara (Stewart) Meservey. I could not find his grave in the Hersman Cemetery in Mt. Sterling, IL. Wondering if you could help me?
Thank you,
Kathleen Meservey Hilla
