Bio and Links
Bio Photo My name is Carol and have lived in Georgia all my life. Residing in N.E. Atlanta for many years and grew up in Hapeville, Georgia.

My Dad began this amazing journey in finding our heritage. While on this journey we had discovered so many relatives and friends.

Peternal Lineage ...

Hape ~ Rogers ~ Puderbach ~ Putnam ~ Hall ~ Naill ~ Ecker ~ Engel ~ Reifsnider ~ King ~ Robbins ~ Thompson ...

Maternal Lineage ...

Hunt ~ Edwards ~ Harris ~ Brown ~ Clay ~ Simmons ~ Wingate ~ Maddox/Maddux ~ Knott ~ LeSueur ~ Stinson ~ Bryant ~ Harper ~ Wyatt ~ Tyler ~ Strother ~ Shy/Shi ~ Chastain ~ Hancock ~ Batte ~ Birchett/Burchett ~ Judkins ~ Polk ~ McLarty ~ Eidson ~ Daniell ...

Most of these memorials are based on personal research from my family history (birth, death, marriage, military & other records). Other information was taken from grave markers or obituaries that I've discovered over the years. Cannot guarantee the accuracy of all these memorials, but believe most of them to be correct.

Will be glad to make memorial transfers upon request that is if related. Would very much like to hear from you and should you have any additional information and if there are any corrections to be made, please let me know.

RE: Benjamin Franklin Rivers #22571922
I don't know who his parents are. They are not James William Rivers & Emily Jane Harper. They had five children, but no Benj. Franklin. James William married a second time to Caroline Madtilda Thayer Milam. I don't have Benjamin Franklin Rivers in my Ancestry index.

Steven W. Lowrey & Sherrill Lynn Martin
His name is Steven as you had it, but the last name is Lowrey. I've found it with both spellings, but Steven is correct as on the wedding announcement. They were married 27 Oct 1979 and divorced 2 Mar 1987.

Just wanted to randomly say 'thank you' for all you've done on this site. During my research, I see a lot of the things you have posted. I appreciate it. :) ... Cathy

RE: Request
Thank you for your response.
I only find one J. Chappell in Company D of the 14th Alabama, so I am guessing the different references I have found are for the same man.

The records I have found at Alabama Department of Archives and History and the National Archives refer to him as J. P. Chappell, J. Chappell, John Chappell, and even one G. P. Chappell. All are in the a couple of files at the National Archives.

The man who wrote the history of the 14th Alabama, Marshall B. Hurst, identified him as J. Chappell, in Company D.

I know from my research that a lot of errors were made with spellings and initials of individuals. I would appreciate any information about his Civil War service that you are willing to share.

Thank you for considering my request.

I would like permission to use the photo of John P. Chappell in a book about the 14th Alabama. I would also like to know the source of the picture.

Please contact me at

Thank you.

Pam Tanner
Lewis Luke C. Harper
Hi there,
As I have been researching Lewis (#54901495) I found that he and Judith were married first and had all of their children together and then he married 2nd Martha Henderson. (Lewis and Juda are found in the 1870 and 1880 census records together with children and in their marriage certificate showing they were married in 1868. Lewis is found married to Martha Henderson in the 1910 census record and then in his own death certificate, dying at the age of 81)

It would be great if you would make the change on this findagrave entry for Lewis Luke C. Harper.
Thank you so much for your wonderful service!!
Pam Tanner

PS it is correct when you click on martha's name that Lewis was her second husband... just needs to be changed on Lewis' page

Roy Goodloe
Robert Goodloe - NC Militia
If you look up Robert Goodloe (1741-1797) in the WILLIAM GOODLOE CEMETERY in Richmond, KY (Madison County) there is a memorial from you because he was a captain in the NC militia during the revolutionary war. I thought your message was blocking me. There is an old outstanding photo request from me that no one has responded to. That is what blocked me from making another request. Sorry I thought your memorial blocked me. I met a fellow with the SAR (Sons of the American Revolution) this weekend so they should have a member in that area that could assist.
