Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been our family's genealogist/historian for over 40 years, and many of these folks I've added to "findagrave" are my family and friends.

Howard Street Cemetery in Northboro, MA is the location of our main family lots, so I have spent many hours there. While there I try to add any grave photos and names of those that appear to be missing from the "findagrave" site. If any of your family are in Howard Street I will gladly turn over management if you wish.

I love to research original settlers for the Tucson, AZ area. Most of the original graves are long gone, including any identifying markers. But the city managed to relocate remains to several different cemeteries in this area, and the stories of many of these pioneers live on. It is my pleasure to merge the stories of the persons with their final resting places.

Richard Ober #47255710
I do not think that the photos attached to this Richard Ober are correct. Richard Ober #47255710 son of Richard Ober and Abigail (Woodbury) died 4 mar 1715 Beverly, Mass. The photo attached says "departed this life November 11th".

There is another Richard Ober who died in Beverly 11 nov 1787, who is the son of Richard Ober and Priscilla (Woodbury).

Moses Gray
Carolyn,
I am so glad to find a fellow Grays of Worcester researcher. I am a great granddaughter of George Moses Gray, who went out to California to work for John Bidwell when Asa Gray recommended him for the job. I will try to find a copy of the book you cited The Grays of Worcester. I have not yet been to Sauquoit. is the Gray home still there? I have lovely quilts made by the Gray ladies in that house.

Hi Carolyn,

First I would like to say thank you for your work on creating my aunt and cousin's page. I have sent you edits for my aunt to be linked to my Grandmother and Grandfather Pollock and I believe I sent a link to link my Uncle to my Cousin. I am hoping I sent them to the right administrator.

Unfortunately we've added my father to the cemetery and would like to see the family linked together when you get the chance.

Thank you so much for all that you do! It is greatly appreciated!

Transfer complete! No need to transfer back at any time. Happy she has somebody who knows her to maintain her memorial page.

Private Andrew J. Yaw
Hi Carolyn,

Thanks for your volunteer efforts on Find A Grave.

Andrew Yaw is buried in the Cypress Hills National Cemetery in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York.

He served as a Private in Company B, 157th New York Volunteer Infantry during the Civil War.

He was wounded in his head on July 1, 1863 during the first day's battle at Gettysburg. This wound resulted in apoplexy of the brain. He died on August 22 at Ft. Schuyler, located in New York Harbor. It's actually in the Bronx, Bronx County.

He enlisted in the Army on August 7, 1862 at Oneida, New York, at the age of 23.

Hopefully, you'll be able to change his burial location to Cypress Hills National Cemetery.

There is a photo of his headstone at Cypress Hills on Find A Grave. Please see Memorial Number: 95418916.

Hope this helps. Keep up the good work!

Best Regards,
Karl

I wanted to let you know that I fixed the picture that you took of her headstone. I hope you will not be upset at me as it was turned sideways and I just turned it upright. If you do not like what I have done, let me know and I will remove it. Here is the Find A Grave memorial 135689391. I can see what you went through as I like to have never got it turned around right. I have had some stubborn photos of my own that would not come out the way I wanted.

Hefferan/Heffernan
Carolyn--I'm a Heffernan in the Midwest. The spellings are a bit different, but I'm wondering if we might be connected in some way (based on Myrtle's maiden name)? Would love to hear a bit about your Hefferan connection, if you'd like to visit as well.

Memorial #48784121
Hello, I was wondering if your picture on the above mentioned memorial is the castle of Liecester that William Herrick and his wife Joan May lived in; and if I may use it in my family tree book?
