The search for our family roots began in 1979. My mother told me her Gr-Gr Grandfather had been born in 1774. Since I really loved history, this bit of information started me on a journey that has lasted many, many years.
Find-a-Grave has become a place where I have met so many wonderful and caring people and even a few lost relatives. Although this site maintains millions of memorials, it manages to remain warm and friendly, like family. Being able to visit online memorials for our loved ones, is the next best thing for those of us who live so far away.
Heartfelt thanks to all for their contributions of time and information to honor so many wonderful souls who have passed. Every life has a story that should be told and never forgotten.
