William Breen
Rita Leona Breen is buried with William Breen. Cemetery records have her buried in the same grave. I created a memorial for her and will be happy to transfer it to you if you want it. Just let me know.

As you can see by the picture of the plot, William's headstone is half under a bush. The picture probably isn't the best, and Rita's isn't really good either but the best I could do. Our weather has been rainy and the headstones were a little wet too. If you don't like these pictures, I can go back when it stops raining and try to get better pictures.

RE: John Sullivan d. 1881
I'll check the death index when I go to the Archives this week. If a death certificate was filed, maybe it will have some information but being that old, I can't be sure.

John Sullivan d. 1881
Do you happen to have any other information on John Sullivan? I can't find him in the cemetery files for St. Patrick's cemetery. Burial information before 1893 is scarce as they didn't keep very good records then. If my memory is correct, the first burials in St. Patrick's cemetery were in 1885. There were a couple of older cemeteries up on the hill, and with all the mining going on at that time, the graves from up there were moved down to St. Patrick's and Mount Moriah. I don't know if there are any records of those early burials.

Unfortunately, I think John Sullivan and Patrick Hurley fall into this category.

RE: Alice O'Leary
My pleasure. Do you know the circumstances on how Mrs. O'Leary died?

RE: Hurleys
Hi Lorna,
You also asked for Patrick Hurley, but I have been unable to find him. I thought maybe he would be buried in one of the plots with the other Hurley's, but if he is, there is no marker. The grave location you gave is from an old list that the DAR ladies made up when they walked the cemetery in about 1981-82. The fact that he is on that list indicates that he probably had a marker back then as they were transcribing the names from the headstones & markers. However, I looked in the area where I think their location for him would be but there are not many headstones in that area. I'll look some more to see if I can locate his grave, but it may be possible there is no headstone or marker being he died in 1893.

I have the actual cemetery lists for all the Butte cemeteries as well as the block files. He is not listed in St. Pat's, nor is Mary E. Hurley listed that I could find, but she does have a headstone (see below). I will keep looking tho.

I also found a Maurice Hurley who died 2/14/1908. He was 50. I looked for his grave and found the location but unfortunately there were no headstones or markers on that plot.

I will look into getting the Richardson's. A friend usually does that cemetery but I'll see if he minds if I help out with the Richardsons.

John Hurley - d. 7/16/1925 – age 18
Mrs. Timothy (Mary) Hurley - d. 10/27/1908–age 33
Timothy Hurley - d. 10/19/1909 – age 38
Catherine Hurley - d. 2/1/1916 – age 11

Mrs. Mary Hurley – d. 7/26/1946 – age
Michael Hurley – d. 3/24/1939 – age 34
Michael Hurley – d. 12/6/1911 – age 43
Rita Hurley – d. 7/17/1928 – age 28
Mary Hurley – d. 5/9/1930 – age 27

If I remember correctly, the following Mary was buried with those Hurley's in Block 487:
Mary E. Hurley – d. 1/31/1988 b. 5/2/1900
(This following is probably the same person as above but did not give a grave location:
Mary Mollie Hurley – d. 1/30/1988 responsible party was Cele Holland)

You can search for Hurleys on findagrave to see the memorials. I created one for Mary E. as I didn't find her there. If you have any questions, let me know.

RE: Raber Headstone
Thanks for asking. I have no problem with you using the photo. I did it so your family could make use of it. You have my permission to use it however you wish.
