Melissa Ann Leslie McLaughlin
Hi Michael,

I am the great granddaughter of Melissa Ann Leslie McLaughlin. I have questions regarding the photo of her as a young child that you posted on her memorial. I have never seen this photo of her; in fact, I have never any photo of her. At the bottom of the photo is the notation: "Maggie Azell 'Leslie' - Began, Arkansan, USA." Is this a photo of Melissa Ann Leslie or is it a photo of Maggie Azell Leslie? If it is an actual photo of Melissa Ann, what is the significance of the notation on the photo and was it on the photo when you obtained it? If you have determined that it is a photo of Melissa Ann, I would really be interested in how you were able to determine its authenticity.
Thanks so much. Gay Grauke

Thank you for your generosity in transferring the memorial of Elbert Bramlett to my care. I am searching for a W.F. Briggs who married J. Adeline Bramlett in 1901. That is the total of the information I have about him.

Do you have any info for the cause of his wound? since he died just short of 38th birthday--it must have been war related but no document have been seen to verify. Her widow's pension application only says she verified death within a year of service. Just a curiosity on my part. Kathy T Richardson

Woods Family
Hi Mr. Briggs,
I received a message back from Sue and am really hoping to hear back from you as well. My mother has always wondered about her family and is thrilled to learn of CB Woods history with the Chisholm Trail. We would love to hear more and I also have a few pictures of Eula Mae and Charlie (the second) to share on the site. We're not certain the pic you have posted as Eula Mae is actually her, but as I said before we have no young pictures of her. Are you certain its her? In addition, I would appreciate a copy of the full picture you have posted for my grandfather. I'd love to frame it for my mother. If you would please email me back and I'll give you my phone number so we can chat. Or, even better my mom's number. Also, while she isn't a blood relative, Eula Mae and Charlie's sort of foster child recently passed away. She remained a part of our family all these years and maybe she should be added as a child of theirs? My mother has always referred to her as her sister and nothing short of that. Please let me know your thoughts. :)

Do you have any more pictures of them? They are my mother's parents and grandfather! She has very few pictures of her father and grandfather and not many old pictures of her mother. Is there any way you could call or email either one of us about them? This so exciting! Thank you! My email address is on file with this site.

Hello..... please call the cemetery office first (940-716-8945) and find out your loved one's section, plot and space number and then add it to the memorial record and include it in your photo request. The cemetery office will not give that information to our photo volunteers; only relatives can request that information. This is the ONLY cemetery in Wichita County that gives us issues. They try to throw the privacy act at us when we call if we are NOT family.

If you will email me back the information, I will personally go take the picture for you.
