1. Edits and other changes.
I am usually delighted to process your edits or suggested corrections. However I will neither do your data entry nor edit your spelling and punctuation. If information can be entered in specific fields, you will need to do that through the new edit system and I will accept or decline it. Other suggested changes such as biographies or obituaries or requests for transfers will be honored via the "Suggest any other correction or addition" which sends me an Email with a link to the page and to you. I might fact check your information through resources available to me.
2. Transfers
I will transfer any memorial I have created on request except those for
a. my own ancestors or in my virtual cemeteries.
b. Nor will I transfer to anyone who is listed as "Anonymous" and has a blank profile. It is difficult to trust someone who is so concealed.
c. Nor will I transfer to the terminally rude unless you document the four generation proximity of relationship required by the FAQ.
3. Photos
I give explicit permission to copy and use any photo I have taken and posted on Find a Grave for your own genealogical purposes. No need to ask.

I am a retired Episcopal priest who has done genealogical work for her own family since 1990. I used to serve as a Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness volunteer for Cottonwood County before that site closed. I'm still willing to do lookups. This is easy to do, as I live within a mile of the Courthouse and Historical Society. Or you can contact the Historical Society at They charge $10. per hour plus copying for research.

I am nearly done doing whole small cemeteries in Cottonwood County, Minnesota. The five of us working on that have finished all but the two city cemeteries. If I have been able to post a photo on the front page of a cemetery in CC you will find my status notes in the caption. [Feb 2013] Working on Mountain Lake from photos & register and Lakeview from a list. I am also working on comprehensive postings for columbaria in Minnesota Episcopal churches.

My daughter thinks graving is a waste of time but I point out that it gets me out for a walk up and down "rows" in the cemetery. And a friend of hers pointed out that considering all the recent zombie movies it's good to remember this: It is far better to be looking for dead people than to have dead people looking for you! Enjoy!

Thank you!
Thank you for your photographs of the Barlow family memorials. My grandparents and great-grandparents are from Cottonwood county, and your work will let me visit the correct places when I visit.

Thanks again,

RE: Adam Feil birthplace
Thank you. Plan to continue the project, but since it only list Russia and if that is the only change I will not send an edit. Well over have the entries involve adding a birth and death state, but some provede a maiden name for the women which is not often available. I am so thankful for the many people who contribute to findagrave. I glean info from the file for my many US relatives every day. Thanks for your contributions. Mary

RE: Adam Feil birthplace
My edits are coming from a book index of obituaries called Lest We Forget. This book often lists Russia as the birthplace, and there isn't an option to use that on findagrave, so I will refrain from using Russia in any further information I post from the book. The book was done by the Central Okla Chapter of the American Historical Society of Germas from Russia, so the obit should be available somewhere.
Hope this helps.

Mary Rank at Holy Cross Cemetery
Mary Rank was originally buried at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in San Francisco, and was re-interred at Holy Cross in Colma, CA. She was buried in an area is that does not have individual grave markers; it has a memorial dedicated to all of the people moved. I have attached a photo of that memorial.

From her burial removal record she was the wife of Edward, and was 56 years old when she died. She was originally buried with two sons, and they were all re-interred together at Holy Cross.

The children buried with her were Edward Rank (#110727992), died Feb 15, 1872, aged 5 months, and Charles Rank (#105529018), died Sept. 22, 1871, aged 23 days, both were listed as “Child of Edward and Mary”. I have added the photo to their memorials as well.

Also, I requested that burial information and the transcription on the memorial be added to all three of their memorial pages.

Edward Rank
You were correct about the date of birth; I have corrected it and added his full date of death. Thanks!

RE: Backes Cemetery in Meade County
It is a County History and that is the name is Faith Country Heritage 1910 to 1985 Faith Historical Committee Author, Seton Publishing.
I don't know about an obit, there is not one in Sturgis which does have some indexing for the Faith Area, Faith may have a paper that is old enough to get this from them I am not sure

RE: inzanidy
Hi, I tried to contact her through her site without success. Maybe if you try contacting Find-a-Grave directly they may have more info.
