I am a great-grandmother who started family research about 1990. I have pretty much completed the family histories of myself and my husband, but once in awhile a new relative shows up, and that is always exciting.|
Find A Grave has been a valuable resource for me, and I like to contribute whenever I can, hopefully to provide information for other researchers.
I am not in a race to compile a large number of memorials. I try to find and add information that makes the memorials more meaningful, and I am always grateful for further information from contributors.
I may or may not adhere to the Find A Grave guidelines for transfers, depending on the individual circumstances. I do not understand the mind-set of those contributors who insist on following the Find A Grave "rules". If your person does not appear as a leaf on my family tree, there is a good chance that I will transfer, so ask ....

I took photo of her veterans WWII marker today and posted it on find a grave. I had to trim back a shrub to expose her marker and I cleaned it. I decorate veterans graves at Twin Firs every Memorial Day and I remember some of the veterans graves.

Darlene, my connection is through Dorothy's sister Josephine Fern Griffiths, who was married to Freddie McNeeley-my connection, but after Freddie died she married someone by the name of Wolfe, Josephine died February 26, 2007, but I have not been able to find her burial.
I would appreciate her transfer as I can link her to parents and siblings.
Thanks for all your contributions to Find A Grave.

I think it is more "aren't you getting tired of ME?" I'm so sorry about all the suggested edits. Please don't think your work wasn't appreciated. It made it so much easier to upload the pictures. If it makes you feel better, I'm done going through all the ones that weren't uploaded and I think I've caught 99% of the duplicates.
By the way, you didn't delete Bea Mefford, did you? That was the one that wasn't duplicated. Please don't kill me if you did!

It was sad as I was going through and uploading the headstone information. Out of ten children, one did survive to adulthood, but nine of them died. If you need a list of all the babies, click on one of the names, then click on the picture I uploaded of the memorial. I have written out the names from the tombstone in the comments section for the picture. Linking them to their parents would be great.

No relation, but I was going through Burl's father's side of the family and was trying to link everyone together. Sadie and Marshall had 5 children; Marshall Jr, Burl, Earl, Harold and a daughter who is still living but her name is concealed. I have only been able to find Burl and Harold on here and have linked them to Harold's memorial (still waiting for it to be processed). If you can help me locate where Earl and Marshall Jr are buried, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Everywhere I have looked, his middle name is spelled "Virden" and not "Verden". His middle name is his mother Sadie's maiden name, spelled the same way too (Virden). Have not been able to find a grave for her, however. Do you have proof that it's spelled the way you have it spelled? Just curious.

We make a good team, don't we?
I have finished uploading all the pictures I could read for the people who had a previous listing. I still have about 200 people who will need to be added, but I think that is all the corrections for this cemetery. Thank you SOOOO MUCH for all the work you did. It made uploading the pictures so much easier. I also appreciate your great attitude to the corrections I suggest.
I am back home in the Los Angeles area now, but I have a bunch of pictures from the Riverside Cemetery in Hannibal, MO. I don't do the ones around here as they are about 80%-90% done and the cemeteries are HUGE!
Thank you again for everything.

Reg. Dane Coefer's pages - I've had his pages for about 2 years now because he went inactive or died, I don't know which. Admin. gave me all his pages to keep up. Please send individual edits for the pages you would like transferred to save me time and to give me your ID for transfers.

You're welcome Darlene. I live in Rolfe and if I can help in any way let me know. I was glad to find the lady as my cousin M. Richards was insistent that she didn't exist. She is mentioned in the Pioneer History of Pocahontas County as being married to Amos. Their marriage record is probably in Dakota City at the Humboldt County Courthouse.

No problem, love doing this, give me a holler if you need anything else. Cyndy
