|Ralph Kimbrel||Adeline (Kimball) Surber|
Ms. Trink Jones,
The way that I found the Adeline (Kimball) Surber data was to enter 'Adeline Kimball Surber in Brunswick County VA' and then click on 'Kimball Family History & Genealogy Message Board'.
I know what you are thinking and I don't trust genealogy message boards either and that is why I left the warning on my first message. However Oscar Kimball is more than I had before and a place to start. I will let you know if I have any luck. I want to link Adeline to her Kimball family and I want to do it the right way. Thanks for your help with find a grave.

The reason that I have not answered your message is because I do not remember where I located the information that you ask about but I am looking for the data source and then I will get back to you. However I do know that your Adeline (Kimball) Surber is the one that I was looking for because she is buried in Brunswick County VA and that is where Joseph Kimball 38418618 moved to from Massachusetts back in the 1600s only it wasn't called Brunswick County back then, it was part of Surry County (see Charles Kimball's biography on Memorial Page 127289483). Thanks for all of your help.

Ms. Trink J.
I created a Memorial page for Adeline Harriet (Kimball) Surber and then discovered that you are already maintaining a Memorial for her so I have erased my created Memorial Page 128100693. I made all of the required checks before I created the page but Find A Grave indicated that there was no Memorial for her. Anyway I have found a little more information about Adeline Harriet (Kimball) Suber. Her parents are listed as Mrs. Agnes (Lacour) Kimball and Mr. Oscar Kimball. You may want to run a check on them before listing them. I am in the process of tracing the Kimball family line and I will provide more information on them as I go along. I am trying to connect them to the Joseph Kimball family line Find A Grave Memorial 37887167 which will take you back to Richard Kimball, the first Kimball in America. Thanks for your work with Find A Grave.

I would contact the land owner but need to find where he is located. Can you give me directions? Christmas Hill is the name of Route 655. When we went to an enhanced 9-1-1 system, all routes got names. Thanks.

I can just imagine the telephone ringing at a family gathering with a call for "Dr. Jones." "Which Dr. Jones?"
That is quite an enconium to the first Dr. John Bolling Jones. From your description I make him your great uncle. My mother's side of our family is spread similarly across generations, I have many second cousins but only one first cousin other than removes. He was the son of my father's brother. That side is less widely spread. My brother and I are having a time separating the maternal threads. He is the one developing genealogical expertise.
|Jack Davison||Col "Mouse" Jones|
The death notice posted on our class web site, my primary source, says that he is the son of John Bolling Jones III; however the dates for the latter (1928) and John Bolling Jones Jr suggesst that John Jr is the fsther and John III the brother, as our linksorganize them. Please let mr know if you concour. I intend to amend Mouse's bio accordingly.

These memorials are my small service to those who hsve been in the most important part of my life apart from my own family, not only those who have answered their last call, but for those they leave behind.
So, Bob was your cousin? I met him when he and I both reported for our physicals prior to admission and we were in neighboring rooms those two or three days. Did you know the name by which his classmates know him? Slthough we called him "Mouse" he hsd the roar of a lion, essential for a cox as was his size. I saw him last as parade commander of a Friday evening tattoo at the 8th and I street Marine Barracks, where his "command voice was also much in evidence. I thought "Mouse too informal for his memorial, but after all "Brute" Krulak's is on his memorial.
Jis survivors include a brother, Dr. Lealis Hale in Florida. As a cousin can you enlighten me on the family?
Warm regards, Jack
|Jack Davison||RE: Frances I.|
Thsnks very much. I hsve linked Bob to hida mother and see that you have linked his brother to their mother since I first wrote. That ties up any loose threads for the family, I believe. I do like to ghave my classmates' memorials and those of their families neatly tied off.

|Dick Felts||Johann Stephen Trenkel|
You've posted a significant amount of information about Johann Stephen Trenkel and his ancestors, including a comment that recent information that shows him as the son of Jacob Trenkel. I've positively traced my wife's ancestors back to Johann Stephen and would very much like to know what sources you've found for his connection to Jacob. You can contact me directly at rjfelts"at"msn"dot"com.
