Photojournalist, Arthur Uhlmann

Hello Elaine! Thank you, so much, for so quickly uploading the bio i wrote for Mr. Uhlmann, and for crediting me at the bottom. I see you also linked the names of the other journalists who were with him on Press in JFK's motorcade to their findagrave memorials. I have tried to do that in the past on memorials i've created by inserting html coding tags, the link for the page itself etc... but it didn't work. So, I have no idea how you did that, but I appreciate that you did it for me!

Also, I have been an amateur JFK assassination researcher (ie: I haven't published a book) for 40+ years, who specializes in identifying the eyewitnesses to events that weekend: the Texas School Book Depository employees and other witnesses who lined the motorcade route in Dealey Plaza, law enforcement officers, and journalists, photographers & cameramen. I also like to make them findagrave memorials, or add bios to their existing memorials so they are not forgotten and to help complete the historic record. So many of these people have now died, and it makes me sad at how many of of them seem to be completely forgotten and lost in the mists of history. Even these photojournalists, like Mr. Uhlman and Mr. Rozumalski, who were at the time nationally acclaimed, winning numerous national awards for best newspaper photographer etc... As a longtime JFK researcher, even I had never heard of them until stumbling upon their names recently in a list of motorcade participants who were occupants of Press Bus No. 2. When i began my research on them that was all i knew about them - their names and the newspaper for which they worked.

I collaborate with a longtime, well-known (among JFK assassination authors and community) Canadian researcher, Denis Morissette, who has the world's most extensive photo collection and photo blogs set up for the identification of the journalists, cameramen, photographers and law enforcement officers who covered & investigated the assassination events that weekend. If you do a "find" for my last name "Zambanini" you will find me credited under many photo identifications on his websites:

https://jfkassassinationfiles.wordpress.com/

https://jfkinvestigators.wordpress.com/2016/02/24/

And here is his original old main page with author Gayle Nix Jackson, introducing him and his work at the top. (Gayle is also a good friend of mine and grandaughter of Orville Nix who took the "Nix Film" of the assassination in Dealey Plaza opposite Zapruder). It has links to his photo-blogs youtube channel etc:

All this is to introduce myself, and to ask if you are a relative or family friend of Mr. Uhlman or Mr. Rozumalski (both photojournalists from Wisconsin who worked for the Houston Chron) and if you would happen to have a photo, especially of Mr. Uhlman, contemporaneous to the JFK assassination so we can know what he looked like at that moment in history. A contemporaneous photo also helps us to and find them in other films and photos taken that weekend - also part of our work. I have only been able to find a 1938 HS sophomore yearbook photo of Mr. Uhlman (which i posted on his memorial today). However, people can change a lot in 27 years. Last night I finally found a '64 newspaper photo of Mr. Rozumalski, but it's very grainy and overexposed. If you have photos of either of them circa '63, or know their families who would have and contribute one, I greatly would appreciate your help in my search. Thanks again, Elaine!

RE: William Wiley Crew
Thanks Elaine! Seems that your husband and I are distantly related!!

There are two other children of Wiley's that I'm trying to get linked to him. I'm working on that now but it depends on the memorial owners. They are Henry T. Crew and Jennie V. Crew Meeks. I've located Henry and added his memorial. Jennie and her family are already on Find A Grave. I've sent a request to her memorial owner.

Sincerely,

Regina
