I'm from Indiana. My ancestors were Amish, Amish Mennonites and the old order Brethren. I grew up in a very religious family. I took this photo while sitting in the back seat of this buggy. Mervin the Gentleman. Horse's name Terry, in Shipshewana,Indiana. |
I live in Etowah Co. Al. now.
I'm one of many who is trying to help others by taking photos of tomb stones. I will add the Memorial if I don't see one. If you see a duplicate I have accidentally made, please inform me so I can delete it, for it was not my intention. If you don't like my photo and have a better one, just ask, I will remove it.
Please ask for transfer's. I have no problem with transferring to any one that knows more information than I do, and can honor and do justice to the person of that Memorial. You may use my photo's on Ancestry or any where else. That's why I take them.
I will gladly help others if I can, just ask. I like keeping a tidy clean page, so all that contact me are deleted once read. I feel it can help with the over load of this sight. If I think I might need to contact a person later, I will add them as my friends.

I will check with the family personally. The burial site was donated to the family due to unexpected death of Carl. Give me a couple days to find out the information. They may not have the funds to get a headstone for the grave at the moment.
I have added memorials from several different cemeteries and as I link those folks to their family members, I see you have made lots of good tombstone photos and I just wanted to say how much I appreciate all your work. Those photos just seem to make a memorial so complete. Thanks for your many hours adding data on this great website. I saw several of your photos today and thought I would give you a "pat-on-the-back." Often, we fail to tell folks how much we appreciate them. Kind regards, Nancy

The stone marker for Merle D. Fielder Birth: March 5,1919,in Hillcrest Cemetery, has no death date. Spouse James Corby Fielder. Is there a way you can find out if she is deceased, if so, when? If she isn't deceased, then the Memorial needs to be deleted. Her spouse James Corby Fielder has his own Memorial. I am a relative and if she is deceased I will contact someone in Alabama to have a death date put on the marker. Thanks.
