Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been researching my family history and its many branches for more years than I care to remember, and have always had a love of cemeteries! Now into my sixth decade, I live in the great state of Nevada, and am looking forward to posting my research info on this site. My focus, at the moment, is working on an accurate list of those pioneers who are interred in the Dayton, Lyon County, Cemetery. I would also like to add that I am relinquishing in advance any copyright claim to the photos and information that I have taken or posted on this site, and that my photos and information may be added to any other database or website (please just properly credit the Find A Grave database)

RE: Re: Clara Gilmartin
I am not directly related to Clara or her family. She is not related directly to the family I am researching. But thank you for asking. Glenna

Thank you so much for fixing that. The obit also gives the death date of her husband but I do not remember seeing find a grave information for him or a headstone.

Thank you for all you do Karen. Much appreciated.

More than happy to transfer Maggie Carling to you.
There is no reason to transfer her back to me.
You and others are doing a wonderful job on commemorating the early Nevada settlers.
I will transfer any and all to you.

Thank you Karen for the wonderful obit. I've transcribed it into the bio section of the memorial but like having the original as well. Added plus of course was finding out where she was born! thanks!

I requested a photo this week of the tombstone and Findagrave let me know that contributor, Kathy Jones #47958854, was not able to take a photo and the cemetery office told her that the cemetery office has no record of this person and that he is not buried at Mountain View Cemetery. Find A Grave stated to me that they are removing it and if you can fix the problem that were reported believe a photo can be acquired, to please feel free to make a new request. The memorial site was created on 13 Jan 2014. You had posted a picture of his obit from the Reno Evening Gazette 7-24-1951. Hopefully you can try to fix this. Thanks.

RE: Guernsey County
Karen,

I am a descendant of Daniel & Elizabeth (Work) Downerd and Boyd Forbes. Most of the families are from the eastern portion of Guernsey and western portion of Belmont. The Downerd descendants are quite numerous.

Thank you for checking.

Thanks for the note. In thinking about it, yeah, it's probably best to delete the photo obit. It's probably a little TOO graphic, if you know what I mean. The bio is supposed to be more about the life the person lived rather than the horrible way he died. So, thanks for the offer. I will take you up on deleting it. Thanks!
