(John C. Carter)
(Will be spending part of the summer in southwestern Maine).
Happy to photograph at any cemetery in the Tampa Bay, FL area!
Born in Dover, DE, (to parents from NJ & WV), I lived in southern CA until age 12, & then in Raton, (a small town in N.E. New Mexico), which I consider my home town. I attended NM State Univ for 4 years (with a 1-yr exchange to Oregon State Univ), but did not complete a degree at that time, & later moved back to southern CA, settling in the Orange County area. After 10 yrs in the O.C., I moved to St. Petersburg, FL (Tampa Bay area) in 1990, & have been here ever since.
I have avidly worked on my family's genealogy since the age of 15 ... 39 years now!
I am a member (and former chapter registrar) of the SAR (Sons of the American Revolution) with 7 qualifying ancestors submitted (more to come!), a member of the SUVCW (Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War) with 10 qualifying ancestors or brothers of ancestors (more to come!), a member of the SVR (Sons of Veterans Reserve (affiliated with the SUVCW), a member of the S&DUSCT (Sons & Daughters of U.S. Colored Troops), a member of the Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape Indians of New Jersey, and an associate member of the Lenape Indian Tribe of Delaware.
I'm very proud that every single branch of my ancestry has been in America since at least pre-Revolutionary times.
Having taken numerous college courses over the years, I finally bit the bullet & enrolled in a program in 2003 to complete my degree, & graduated from Eckerd College (a local, private, liberal arts college) in May 2005 with a B.A. in Creative Writing.
Besides genealogy & writing, my other interests include: clock collecting, books, movies, photography, the Civil War, the space program, many types of music, & visiting cemeteries!
Thanks to the creators of this site for doing such a great job!

 | Smith Graves Thanks so much for taking the photos of the Smith Graves for me. I'm very pleased with them. I'd like to confirm they were in fact in the Lakeside Cemetery, Is that correct?
Thanks again,

 | Your suggestion RE: Emory Streets I guess the only way to know for sure is to ask for a photo request. Your Friend, Stuart | | | James King
 | Frances M Jordan Thanks so much for the gravestone photos. I've managed to visit a few cemeteries in Maine but only by linking with vacations to New England. We live in Florida so contributions like yours on Findagrave are very helpful. Thanks again. J. King | | | Kathleen Green

 | Arthur L. Harriman Thank you so much for the pictures of Arthur's grave. Did you notice who the big Harriman tombstone belongs too? Is there another small stone near by Athur's that would be his wife Fannie and another small stone that would be his mother Fannie Etta Harriman. I would love to get pictures of those stones if possible. Thank you so much for Arthur's. He is my grandmother's brother. Fannie Etta would be my greatgrandmother. Thanks for your help.
