My husband and I became interested in genealogy a few years ago. I found many of our relatives on Find a Grave and became interested in adding my own. This hobby just flourished from there and hopefully my memorials will be of some help to others that are researching their family history.
My husband was born and raised in Schuylkill Co, PA. After serving four years in the US Navy in the Vietnam War and then furthering his education, he moved to Dauphin Co, PA for employment, which is where we met. I have lived my entire life in Dauphin Co and served in the US Army Reserves at Indiantown Gap for seven years, enlisting while I was in college.
While we have relatives all around the world, the largest concentration is in Central and Eastern PA – Schuylkill, Dauphin, Lebanon, Lancaster, Cumberland, York, Adams and Perry counties and Philadelphia. My Dad also has a huge amount of relatives in Virginia.
CREMATIONS AND BURIALS -
If an obit mentions cremation and no burial, I create a cremation memorial. If ashes are later buried, please send me an edit to change my burial info instead of creating a duplicate.
If I list a burial in the wrong cemetery, please let me know so I make can correct mine and not cause a duplicate.
FIND A GRAVE GUIDELINES: Direct relatives within four generations (siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, great-grandchild).
I create my memorials and gather information from various sources - gravestones, genealogy websites, Veterans info, obits, etc.
Please send any and all links, additions or corrections. I am happy to receive all of them but they must be sent through the Edit tab on the memorial - not my email. You do NOT have to be a Find a Grave contributor to suggest a change (SAC) - just an email address.
