RE: george w. gatrel
Hi Sandy! So nice of you to add the obit for George......Jerry & I are in Alaska so I don't have access to my records! We've been here for 10 days & return home this Thursday.....I promise to get back to you asap on your Voorhees questions:) However, here's Jerry's connection to Charles Voorhees......the daughter of Charles, Leola "Ola" Malinda Voorhees, was the 1st wife of Jerry's maternal grandfather, Joe Gayley Duree. Ola & Joe were married only 2 years when she died of TB in 1909.....just 3 mos after the death of their infant son. Several yrs later, Joe remarried to Jerry's maternal grandmother. Charles was the only child of John Voorhees & Malinda Mary Gatrel. Charles was married to Mary Malinda Brundage and they had at least 4 children, including Ola mentioned above. But as I said, I promise to get back to you soon with ALL the info......because it turns out Jerry is actually related to the Ellis family in another way!

Thank you for adding the information. I just noticed, however, that the DOD you have and the date on her headstone are off by one day....

Hi Sandra, is it possible that this tombstone actually reads he died in 1888? The family emigrated from Norway in 1868 and dod not arrive (first in WQuebec) until August of that year - I have their documents for the immigration. Thanks so much for making the memorials, Judy

Hi Sandra,
Just wondering if you are any relation to my Aunt Beatrice and Uncle Clarence Stoll in the Brick Church Road Cemetery. Thanks for posting the memorials!

RE: John McAffee photo
In looking at the photo more closely, it looks like this is the grave stone for J. Alden McAffee, the son of John McAffee. Do you want to attach it to his Memorial, instead of John's?
It's Find A Grave Memorial# 89845595
Also, did you happen to snap a photo of John's or his wife Adeline? I'm not certain Adeline is buried in that cemetery, there is no memorial created for her yet.

I'm not even related, just trying to fill in some blanks on a cemetery here in PA that we are trying to complete documenting.
Thanks for helping me piece this puzzle together! :)

Yes on the Copenhagen question
for Lars Nelson. And looking at his memorial again, that photo I posted of him in old age, in the chair on the porch - if he didn't have the beard, he would look just like his grandson Nick, who was my Grampa Nick. Grampa was very thin like that, and used to sit with his legs and feet in the same position.

As of yesterday, all 7 of Lars and Marie's children are linked to them:)
