I have been retired since June of 2006; retirement activities include enjoying grandchildren, genealogy research and gardening. When I "discovered" findagrave, two quotations came to mind from Jeane Eddy Westin's late 1970s book 'Finding Your Roots':"Genealogy is the joy of finding the unexpected" and "These are occasions of serendipity - fortunate discoveries made quite by accident." Hopefully other people will also have occasions of serendipity!|

|Gary Peifer||Martha E Smith|
I have been searching for a Martha E Carson Smith.
Father: Thomas Gilbert Carson (57771109)
Mother: Elizabeth Rich Carson (57774150)
Spouse: John E Smith (no dates)
Martha was born 1845 Indiana
Parents, brother Joel & sister Charlotte are buried in Fairview Cemetery. Headstones for parents are very similar to Martha's.
Stones are very hard to read.
Do you live close to Fairview Cemetery that would allow you to flour the stone for dates or check with the cemetery for burial map or other info which might better identify the couple ????
Thank very much for your help
