Bio and Links
Bio Photo Most Ft. Snelling interments of servicemen and their families I have added I didn't know personally. I add head stone photos and a token/note when possible. I do this to honor the men and their families. I want to give their pages something more than just a name and a date.
******* *******
I'm from Minneapolis, MN and have lived in this area all my life. I'm a proud veteran and spent 3 years in the army and I served two tours of duty in Viet Nam, (late 1969-1972.) I was wounded twice. I was assigned to The First Cavalry Division and was in the infantry and then a combat engineer & operated a bulldozer & later I was assigned to aviation and was a crew chief/door gunner on a UH-1 Huey helicopter. I'm a recipient of the Bronze Star, two Purple Hearts, two Air Medals, two Commendation Medals, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Aircraft Crewman Wings, & a Marksman Rifle Medal.
I'm a former local truck driver of 35 years and a former part time fire photographer for seven years. I was forced to retire in 2004 due to back problems. Now I spend time listing interments. I'm registered here as a photo volunteer. I fill the photo requests for Fort Snelling National Cemetery. If you see ANY FT. Snelling memorials with a mistake or missing plots & sections or need a spouse/parents links added please let me know and I will get it corrected or updated.
I do appreciate you visiting Aaron's memorial and for all of your kind words. Thank you so much. It has helped a lot with the passing of my beloved Aaron. Aaron was a blessing and I miss him so much.
If you see anything that I have submitted that needs correction, please let me know. I will be happy to correct it.

Everett Boyer
First I want to thank you for all that you have given to this wonderful country of ours. People such as yourself is what makes our country the best place on earth.

Next is what brought me to your findagrave page. You took a picture of my fathers 1st cousin Everett Boyer and I would like to know if I can use that picture on in my family tree. I would give you credit for taking the picture.

God Bless You,

Thanks so much!
Thanks on the behalf of so many for the beautiful
decorative pictures, flags, tributes you have posted and all you do. I have ran across at least several of our relatives in the Carlson Family buried at Fort Snelling you have done this for. At some point, when I get more time, I may ask you for some more for other loved ones. I am new to all this. My cousin just saw the ones you put on her Mom Iris Carlson's Memorial and I just left my Grandma Oline Carlson's Memorial site.
( there are more) I could not delay Thanking you. We spoke about how very awesome those tributes were from you. She thanks you too.

Carl O Hanson Gravesite
Thank you Steve, for another beautiful gravestone photo. So clear, so perfect. Now, I have a dilemma. There are two "Carl O Hanson's". One belongs to my extended family; one does not. I may be gathering information on the wrong one. I will continue to maintain this memorial until another family member claims it. Will keep looking. Thanks and Best Wishes.

Such a gift
I just visited the memorial and memorial site to your son. May God continuously comfort your family and may we all strive to live by the example that your son set by his own life.
