The following memorial is for a dear child abandoned and could use TLC from visitors : Baby Girl April|
I've been working on my family's "tree" for several years now and since most of my family burials are nowhere near where I live, Find A Grave has been very helpful to me. I was born in Arkansas but ended up in Texas before I turned one! Family names I am working on are: BLACK, THOMPSON, ALFORD, ELMORE, MARTIN, BOLLS, JESTER, and others. Many of these folks are in Arkansas with some being in Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana (and the occasional drifter out to CA!)
As for the photos I have taken and added to memorials, you are welcome to use them for your personal family trees, on Ancestry.com, etc. No need to ask me first.
And a BIG thank you to all the wonderful volunteers out there who claim my photo requests, inform me of problems and generally just help the whole FindaGrave community!

You are so welcome. Glad I could do that for you.

You are most welcome! This cemetery is close to my house so I will check back periodically to see if the stone is returned. Hopefully it is being repaired.

I am not a direct descendant either, so would you like management of this memorial?

There's a story behind that picture.
We went to Clarksville, Arkansas for Memorial Day weekend. It was a quiet Sunday afternoon so I decided to find some graves from Find-A-Grave.
The ones I searched for were obscure and I could not find any of them. So, I decided to find a larger one and ended up in the middle of Clarksville where Jake is buried.
I looked up the photo requests on Find A Grave, looked around a bit and nothing. I pulled up Jake's name, turned myself around (about 180 degrees) and there was Jake's headstone! I was excited.
You be good.
