I have been a resident of Virginia since 1985, most of that time in Richmond. I serve on the Board of the "Friends of Shockoe Hill Cemetery", and am a past Commander-in-Chief of the Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United States (MOLLUS), the oldest Civil War descendants' organization.|
I am happy to make corrections and additions as needed.

I went ahead and accepted your edit adding the parents of Americus Hatchett. I was just curious what your source material is. Americus' first wife (Sarah Collier) was my 4th great aunt.

|Lewis H Mundin III||John Howard in Shockoe Cemetery|
I'm an acquaintance of Barbara New working
on our Howard line several years ago.
John Howard, 1774-1868 is my gr,gr,gr,grfather.
I have the family Bible and a copy is in the
VA Historical Society.
John's obituary states: advanced age of 94...
he was born near Bowling Green (Caroline Co.)
From family notes he married Nancy Sizer Dickerson (not Dickinson)at her father's home
near Chilesburg in Caroline on March 20, 1810
the daughter of Jonathan and Croshe Sizer Dickerson.
Her obituary says they had eleven children. I have
the names of ten: Charles Lewis (1811-1849);
Lucy Ann Mundin(1813-1893); William (1815- )
John (1817-1860), wife Martha Ellett; George (1819-1856); Margaret,
infant d. 1822; Jane E. d. 1826 age two;
Mary Ann 1827- abt. 1870) who married Doran Allen Mundin; Sarah Jane Jones (1829-1867); Malinda Elizabeth Dixon (1832- 1864). Most are buried in Shockoe Cemetery.
I would be obliged if you would make the changes.
Thank you, Lewis H. Mundin III, email@example.com

Good afternoon Jeffery; I am a Vermont Civil War Buff, and am presently working on a project to identify the last resting places of many of the C.W. Veterans that had any ties to Vermont, ( Birth, service, etc.) Eugene Ballard is one of such soldiers. I am asking you if I can use the photo you have posted on his Find A Grave Memorial page, to use on the Vermont Civil War data base ( www.vermontcivilwar.org) You may have others posted that I haven't discovered yet, and, if so, could I use them? You would receive credit for this, if you choose to give permission.
Thank you for your consideration

Hello Mr. Burden,
Where in the world did you find a picture of Benneville P Ruth? I have a ton of family pictures but non of him or any soldier from the Civil War.

|Sylvia Mintz Thomas||Pvt Owen N.Williams|
Owen Williams left behind an orphaned family. I have spent the last 7 years documenting the history of this family. His youngest daughter lived to be 100 years old and her great grands remember her well. She was a pioneer in south west Florida after marrying another Civil War orphan.
I am not a member of Owen's family, just a volunteer genealogist. Thank you for your work in helping me provide this family with closure by specifically marking the final resting place of their GG Grandfather. May I humbly ask that I be granted permission to copy the pictures you have provided on Find A Grave ?
